MORE GADGETS! -> My recent rash of gadget fever has resulted in a spankin' new Canon Powershot S1 IS digital camera with 10X optical zoom, a high performance NVidia graphics card to power the new Far Cry game (a game so addicting that I beat it in a weekend), and the new G4 iBook with DVD SuperDrive which should be on its way to my door first thing tomorrow. Have I gone mad you ask? Well, just about. But it's the only way to satisfy my incessant thirst for new technology. And plus, I just get too bored easily. What's next on the agenda? E3, BABY!

Reality TV -> Yeah I admit it, I watch it. Here is what I currently click to: The Apprentice, Fear Factor, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Real World, a few episodes of Newlyweds.

Housing Madness -> You almost have to sell your organs to make ends meet living in Southern California these days. People are practically handing over their entire paychecks over to their mortgage lenders, gas prices are skyrocketing, and the only money leftover barely pays enough for a double-coupon shopping list at Ralph's. What the hell is going on here? The housing market doesn't look like it will slow down anytime soon either. It's sad to see people are fighting over fixer-upper houses, where in reality they could use that money to buy a palacial mansion in the desert. But, location is everything. Nobody wants to be stuck on the freeway for 3 hours a day and that is why people are willing to pay a premium for shelter.

Brand New Year -> So I've finally gotten around to posting something on this bloody website of mine. Anyone out there reading this? I didn't think so. If you are reading this, well I'm sorry. Haha, I kid! Anyway, I was just thinking about my trip to New York a few weeks ago and how I really wished I went to college there. I mean, what other city in the world where you have some of the best museums in the world to learn, the best nightclubs to party, and the best restaurants to eat. Of course, being a student living in the Big Apple pretty much means you'll never have more than a few hundred dollars in your account. But who cares? It's only when you graduate, find a decent paying job, and think about settling down that you seriously consider relocating back home. In my case, home is Orange County, CA. The OC! Hah, even though that show isn't actually filmed in OC (Rancho Palos Verdes), it's an interesting show that'll probably fizzle out in a few seasons.

EBAY Freak -> Is anybody else as addicted to Ebay as I am? Now I don't have a lot of spare money to spend, but I find myself in a PayPal frenzy purchasing things I wouldn't normally buy. But they are ridiculously cheap, and I rarely pass up a great bargain. I'm also selling things from around the house, mostly electronic gidgets and gismos that I don't need anymore. If I find anyone that can fetch about $50 or more, I'm putting that bad boy on Ebay. Gotta run, my auctions are ticking away!

Lakers -> So Payton and Malone have decided to sign with the Lakers. You've got an all star lineup on paper, one of the greatest coaches of all time in ZenMaster Phil, more celebs at Staples, which means more jacked up ticket prices, which ultimately means my chances of attending a Laker home game this year is are slim and none. Ah well, I didn't buy a big screen TV for nothing.
Kobe -> The news of alleged sexual assault hit me like a ton of bricks. Not since the shocking announcement that Magic had the HIV virus did it hit me like this. Kobe is my favorite player, there's no two ways about it. I grew up watching him come into the league as a pup, and in the process heave a couple airballs in the playoffs, get booed in Philly at the AllStar game, swish an NBA-record 12 treys in a single game on his way to getting robbed as the top dog MVP of the league last year. If I had a kid who worshipped Kobe, god help me in explaining this situation to him. Hey Kobe, whatever happens... happens. You live and forget. Next time go to the strip club Kobe, you'll save yourself the troubles.
Hoop Hazards -> Good news and bad news. My ankle is feeling a lot better these days. The black and blue color has subsided and my foot no longer resembles an elephants'. The bad news? Well, this is like the 10th time I've sprained either my right or left ankle and I'm beginning to worry. Are my ankles just plain weak? Should I drop a few pounds? Or should I stop penetrating the lane and camp out beyond the 3-point line? Maybe these are the residual effects from my days as a high school hurdler? I should sue.
