Brief history of the Saiyans Old Vegeta- Much larger than most planets, Old Vegeta posesses an immense gravity field many times that of the Earth. In the beginning, Old Vegeta was inhabited by two races, the Tsufuru-jin and the Saiya-jins, which were constantly at war. The Tsufuru-jin were an advanced race with hugely superior technology, but compared to the Saiya-jins, they were physically weak. When Old Vegeta's moon went full, the Saiya-jins all went Oozaru and obliterated the Tsufuru-jin. Frieza later hired them as his task force, but destroyed Old Vegeta when he felt the Saiya-jins were becoming a threat to his power. Goku, Vegeta, Nappa, Broli, Paragas, Taurus and Raditz were the only Saiya-jins not on Old Vegeta when it was blown to bits. Super Saiyan (SS,SSJ, SSJ1)- This is the first Super Saiyan transformation. Officially Goku transforms into a Super Saiyan during the Frieza series when Frieza had killed Krillin. This state can be reached by Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Trunks, and Goten. Broli can also reach SS and by Goku Jr. and Vegeta Jr. in the last episode of Dragon Ball GT. Physical description: Increased muscle mass, hair turns gold and stands up, and it's eyes are green. Occasionally the SS form is accompanied by a gold or bright glow around itself. Super Saiyan 2 (SS2,SSJ2)- This state is reached by Goku, Gotenks, Gohan is the first one to ever reach it. Gohan turns Super Saiyan 2 for the first time during the fight with Cell. Physical despriction: More muscles than SSJ1, the hair is a little longer and stands up even more, Hair also becomes very spiky, Bright flickering Glow around the body. Super Saiyan 3 (SS3,SSJ3)- This state is reached for the first time by Goku during the fight versus Boo, afterwards, Majin Boo surpasses this phase. It is also reached by Gotenks in the fight versus Boo but he is defeated anyways. Physical Description: The Gold hair gorws down to the knees, eyebrows dissapear, has larger and more muscles. Only Gokou and Gotenks have achieved this level. No other Saiyan's have achived it, but others have gone past this level (Vegeta goes SSJ4). Super Saiyan 4- Appears only in DBGT. This stage is reached after the transformation of Golden Oozaru. Only Goku and Vegeta could reach this phase, because it doesn't have the same characteristics as a Super Saiyan, they had to call it Super Goku 4 and Super Vegeta 4, with this stage, the person is much more powerful than SSJ3. Physical description: Black hair and redish hair all over the body. It is nesecceary to have a tail to reach this phase. Oozaru (the were-monkey)- When a Saiyan has a tail and there is a full moon, it turns into a giant were-monkey, similar to a Gorilla. All of the Saiyans can control themselves in this state, except for Goku and Gohan who can't control themselves. The power in this stage surpasses even that of SSJ3, but the Saiyans need a tail to transform in to this stage. When the tail is removed during this state, you return to the normal form, or when the moon disappears. Physical description: The height increases by 15 to 20 meters, the face completely changes, similar to that of a gorilla, grows brown hair all over it's body. an increase in power and strength. Golden Oozaru- This stage is reached by Goku and Bebi Vegeta during Dragon Ball GT, This happened when, instead of the moonlight, they see the sun's light reflecting off earth from Planet Plant, this stage is much more powerful than normal Oozaru, the hair is Gold instead of brown. After this form, the SSJ4 state was made. This is the most powerful form of Oozaru, actually, the most powerful of all stages that a Saiyan can achieve.
