Video Album: My Music

Music.  Everybody loves music.  Here's my take on some of the songs that has enriched my life.  A few of which I wrote.  No real aspirations to perform but I do enjoy the creative process of writing a song.  Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA" was an awesome inspiration which started the process.

When You Say Nothing At All

When You Say Nothing At All, popularised by    Ronan Keating.

Everybody loves a ballad.
It's a fun song to perform to once you memorise the words well.  Lovely chords for finger-picking.

Heart of Gold

Originally written and recorded by Neil Young.

Artistes who have influenced me are mostly singer-songwriters.  When everything gels, poetry set to music really elevates me into a higher dimension of social and spiritual consciousness.

Blowing in the Wind

Originally written and recorded by Bob Dylan.

Dylan spoke for the 60's generation. Clever words set to a folky style, his songs stayed relevant for decades, with many later stars, like Springsteen, attributing him as an influence.

Desperado

Originally written and recorded by the Eagles.

The were popular during the California Rock style of the 70's which features attractive acoustic sounds of the guitar and pleasant harmonies.  Everybody in Singapore knows their songs and love their sounds and I am no exception.
