Return of the Easy

Warning!! Spoiler Alert!!

Er, wait...if you're reading this, we're gonna assume you've watched Return of the Jedi. If you haven't, why the hell are you here??

Anyway, this is a little arc that details both the Crew's participation in the events of Return of the Jedi and some adventures detailing the Crew's involvment in related background events.

Introduction: Once again interacting with the Heroes of Yavin and other Vigos, the campaign again takes on the galactic feel. Tu'ebb and Ramses make some roleplaying gains, and Torill and Zolar are fully developed to their current state. Other than that...its Return of the Jedi.

Adventure 65: Return of the Easy Part One, or A Favor Done Me
Characters Involved: Torill, Tue'bb, Zolar
Overview: With Lonay's organization toppled and Ramses on the sidelines, Sprax calls the three remaining dudes together for a mission. His agents have learned that the new self-titled Vigo Leanna, a matriarchal cosmetics company CEO and former lieutenant to Vigo Green, has the plans to some top-secret Imperial superweapon. Sprax thinks that she's planning to turn it over to the Rebels. However, he wants the credit of being the person who helped the Rebels do a descive strike on the Empire. Therefore, he orders the guys to somehow steal the plans, and turn them over to the Rebels themselves, crediting Sprax with the job.

The guys therefore disguise themselves as visiting dignitaries, to the point of buying the space yacht Bottle Makes Three and hiring Darinna as backup. However, Zolar butterfingers their first attempt to get access to her headquarters. Therefore, they split up, eventually gaining access to Leanna thanks to Zolar's theft of a security guard uniform and Torill's ingratiation with her at a party (despite an ominous encounter with a cooly vengeful (and Neomen-employed) Avvin Darrst). Torill manages to convince Leanna that he has good enough Rebel contact to deliver the plans securely. Eventually, with Zolar posing as a security guard, they are invited to Leanna's office and handed some secret plans, to be delivered to the Rebels. However, all hell breaks loose when the party is crashed by Imperials and Darinna, and the group scatters with the valuable suitcase.

The crew makes it away to Reuss VIII, where the Rebel agent said they would meet. After the envoy from Leanna (and only person who knows the combination to the suitcase) is shot by a sniping Hobbes (working for Ganis' interests), the guys make it to the Broken Tusk, the meeting site. Gorge, the bouncer, brings them down some stairways, where the guys think that it's all cool...until they are forced to fight a Braxian Ursadon for the night's main event! They are then brought up, still punch-drunk, and forced before Greel (the Tusk owner) and ISB agent Kenyon (remember him?!). They take the plans and contact Darth Vader himself, who was coming down to "interrogate" the prisoners....fortunately, the crew avoids this horrible fate by escaping Big Easy Style and recovering the plans to give to the Bothan agent. They then evade Vader's brigade and escape back to Sriluur. However, they learn after arriving that, in their hurry, they forgot to tell the agent that Sprax had given it to them, and making the whole job for naught! Naturally, Sprax is pissed off and witholds payment...denting hopes of repairing Ramses for the immediate future.
Interesting Moments:

-After evading the police on foot for the time being, Zolar runs into a 7-11. There he finds the alien employee being held up. Zolar promptly shoots the burglar, and gets a bottomless slurpie in return. He then steals the criminal's car and drives off just as the police arrive. This is a pure, classically Zolar moment.
-To go to the party, Torill decides to attract as little attention as possible by attracting as much attention as possible. Therefore, he goes as a not-so-ambiguously gay noble, flirting with anyone he sees.
-Another classic Big Easy moment occurs when stormtroopers bust in and attempt to arrest the Crew and Leanna. Instead of pulling blasters, the guys begin running around in circles, crying for mercy, screaming nonsensically and clinging to the very confused troopers. In the confusion, Zolar shoves a grenade down a trooper's armor and runs. The explosion scares the rest of the troopers, who believe themselves to be under attack by some unknown weapon. They begin firing out the window. Insert big fight.
-Hobbes holds the guys up at sniper-point, saying he wanted Torill, not the plans. This is because the Corporate sector was just closed down, and his homeworld was now at risk for Imperial attack. He didn't want them to get any advantage. However, he did need Torill.
-During the fight with the Ursadon, in which a suddenly appearing Bobo stops Zolar's head from being eaten while the creature is mauling him, Torill attempts to circumvent the no ranged weapons rule by firing his arm gun at point blank. Gorge teaches him the error of his ways later. Ouch.
-Zolar chases Kenyon out into an alleyway, killing him and getting the plans before falling unconcious and alone due to Reuss VIII's poisonous atmosphere.
Quotes: "Jeezus, is that thing still on?!" -Torill, after Zolar blabbed his mission in front of the microphone for the door gaurd.
"How many times can a guy get shot at in one day!?" -Zolar, near the end of the adventure
Notes: Yeah, I know that Luke and Dash got the Death Star plans to the Rebels, not these guys. These are more plans. Hey, it's cool, isn't it?

Adventure 65: Return of the Easy Part Two, or Greetings, Exalted One
Characters Involved: Torill, Tue'bb, Zolar
Overview: The crew, however much they did to help the Rebels in the last adventure, unfortunately forgot to mention to them that Sprax had given them the plans (oops). This pretty much botched the whole deal, and Sprax is maaad. He witholds payment, and therefore puts Ramses' repairs on the back burner and messes up the looks for future benefits. However, Torill has a bright idea. He figures that if they contact the Rebels (using their connections made in the Shadows of the Rameseum bit), they can tell them that Sprax gave 'em it, and therefore get back in with their boss.

They therefore hop off to Tatooine by Zolar's suggestion. After searching without luck for Rebels, the guys make a harrowing journey to Jabba the Hutt's palace to deal with the slug. He surely knows some Rebels, right? Well, Jabba's price is to make some runs for him. However, a series of convinient "accidents" ends up with the guys owing Jabba a lot. He therefore puts them on retainer indefinetly (and Zolar accepts this? Amazingly, yes!! He was doped up on No-Doz at the time). While the crew hangs around in Jabba's palace, trying to figure out what to do, a pair of droids enters and delivers a message...and now you can pretty much insert the entire Jabba the Hutt's palace bit of Return of the Jedi. To sum it up, though, Torill and Tu'ebb meet Lando, and they make a deal to help get Han out. Meanwhile, Zolar gets involved with a Gran named Ree-Yee's plan to break in and steal Jabba's treasure trove. However, after much careful work, they get in but botch it, and Zolar barely escapes.

Meanwhile, Torill teams up with Leia to try to facilitate Han's escape, but (as you probably have guessed), they are surprised by Jabba and thrown in the Dungeon. Tu'ebb's rescue attempt gets him stuck in a cell through the work of the incompetent gaurd Squisher. When Luke busts in, Zolar falls into the Rancor pit with the Jedi and accidentaly aids in the beast's death. Jabba therefore puts him under guard, and after sentencing the crew (Tu'ebb too, because the gaurds didn't know who was the extra prisoner and took em all), brings Zolar along with him to show him the fate of those who betray him. However, Torill makes a daring last-minute escape on the sail barge, and in the ensuing fight...well, you know what happens. Just add the Crew.
Interesting Moments: The crew faces a nightime ambush from Tusken Raiders as they make their way to Jabba's palace.
-Zolar constantly drinks alcohol and eats massive amounts of the drug No-Doz (an anti-sleep pill), gaining a habit for both.
-Torill, while driving a skiff in the combat, keeps his head down and fails to see Han's skiff. The ensuing collision makes both Han and Lando almost get eaten by the Sarlaac, before Torill and Tu'ebb just rescue them.
-Zolar hits the lever to blow up the skiff.
Quotes: "We're on our way!" -Torill, seconds before Jabba's barge blows up and the overloaded skiff fails to clear a high sand dune.
Notes:
Ya kinda have to watch the movie and insert the guys into it to get the full flavor of how this adventure went. This goes the same with the next few, especially with the next few actually.

Adventure 66: Return of the Easy Part Three, or "Procurement"
Characters Involved: Zolar, Ramses, Tu'ebb
Overview: After agreeing to help if they could, the crew parts ways with the Heroes of Yavin to head back and tell old Sprax the good news. Sprax, tired after a particularly nasty week, is glad to get the news that the Rebels are looking at him favorably. He therefore decides to follow up with them, and gives the crew a substantial budget to "aid the Rebel Alliance with supplies and services." To find these supplies, the crew decides on a crazy (you expected something else?) plan to both supply the Rebel fleet and reduce Imperial presence in the area. After forming an attack force of the Rameseum II, a large group of Weequay street punks, and an upgraded Ramses (his legs temporarily replaced by a small repulsorcraft with makeshift armor and an E-web), the crew cons their way close to a weakly defended Imperial supply depot. By hiding the boarding party in a bunch of large crates that were supposed to resupply the station, the group busts a move and storms the surprised station. Despite a surprisingly vicious and dangerous turbolift fight which Zolar and Ramses are trapped in, and the near-vaccing of Tu'ebb, the makeshift boarders manage to overpower the station. As soon as the station is subdued, a group of handpicked smugglers under Torill's command arrive to empty the myriad supply containers and load them aboard the Rameseum II and the supercontainer Warren (no relation, seriously). In addition, Zolar orders tugs to pull the station away from its position and to leave a debris field. By doing this, he essentialy gains access to an open space station. Zolar has plans...however, right now, the Rameseum II, the VT2, the Warren and the group of smugglers rocket their way to Sullust to meet the Rebel fleet....
Interesting Moments: Ramses' repulsorcraft (the Ram-Tank) proves its worth. In addition, there's a fierce battle in an elevator shaft/elevator car in which Ramses blows apart many troopers, rips a hole in an elevator car, and Zolar almost falls to his death.
-Due to a hit on the Ram-tank's repulsorcoils, the front of the Ramtank uncontrolably bounced up and down (like those pimpy ghetto cars).
-The guys have a problem when they realize that the Rameseum II is jamming all communications, and therefore they can't call them to tell them to stop jamming.
-Torill (not technically in this adventure, but on the outskirts of it) nearly had a stroke trying ot manage all his smugglers to work together.
-The crew takes 100,000 credits out of the budget for "Personal Expenses." They'll pay for this embezzelment.
Quotes: "Ow...ow...ow...." -Zolar and Tu'ebb, stumbling away from the battle
"AFTER you empty them! AFTER you empty them!!" -Torill, yelling at his smugglers for blowing up containers during the pick-up
Notes: This one doesn't follow the movie, but it shows how the Rebel fleet was supplied in the background (sort of).

Adventure 67: Return of the Easy Part Four, or Watch the *#*&$ Movie!
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb, Zolar, Ramses
Overview: The Rameseum II, Warren, and Torill's crew of smugglers arrive at Sullust sans incident. They soon discover the rather large Rebel fleet amassed there. After boarding the fleet, the crew gets the briefing session from Return of the Jedi, and chill with the Heroes of Yavin. They also get their "assignments," having been convinced by the others to help fight. Torill is to train and fight with his group of smugglers in the space battle (Beer Squadron!), as is Zolar. The Rameseum II will be the base for these. Ramses and Tu'ebb are assigned to assist the ground force as fire support and Ramses support, respectively. The guys embark on their shuttle, and the Battle of Endor is about to begin...
Interesting Moments: There was alot of interaction between the Crew and the Heroes.
Quotes: Ooooh geez....ooooh geez.... -Torill, upon learning that they're gonna attack the Death Star.
Notes: I (the gamemaster) set the scene alot in this adventure by playing the movie, and pausing every once in a while for conversation between the guys. They were just imagined in. Therefore, its hard to do this. Also, this doesn't seem much like an adventure, but only because it'd be too long to add on the next one.

Adventure 68: Return of the Easy Part Five A, or I Love the Smell of Toasted Ewoks in the Morning
Characters Involved: Tu'ebb, Ramses
Overview: In this sub-adventure (technically going on during the other one, but I've split it up for clarity), Tu'ebb and Ramses board the shuttle Tyderium with the Heroes and head off to sunny Endor. After bluffing their way past the Death Star and the Executor, the force lands and moves in. After a blundered attempt to take out some scout troopers (Tu'ebb and Ramses helping, of course), Luke and Leia disappear on the famous bike chase, and the force uses Ramses' and R2-D2's sensors to track them. After finding Luke, a group consisting of Han, Luke, Chewie, R2, and Threepio search for Leia, while Tu'ebb takes command of the rest of the force with orders to meet at the shield generator. After a harrowing night defending against Endorian predators, Tu'ebb, Ramses and the force meet with the guys and their new Ewok friends. Upon gaining access to the back entrance, Ramses and the force are left outside while the rest go in and set charges. Then, the Emperor's trap is sprung, but with the help of Tu'ebb, the Heroes get the upper hand inside the bunker, and Ramses ambushes the force from behind to help facilitate the escape. In the ensuing chaos, Ramses kills a myriad of troopers and captures an AT-ST, Tu'ebb fights troopers and chases an Ewok who stole the lost dentonator, and many Ewoks get spread like jam across the landscape. However, Tu'ebb recovers the dentonator, gets the Heroes away, and hits the button to lower the Death Star's shields.
Interesting Moments: Tu'ebb steals the scene with regards to changing the events of the movie, and Ramses takes the stage by blowing away everyone with impunity.
-The crew tries to get past the Imperial force by using hostages, but the force opens fire on the guys, forcing them to take cover in the building. The force is dispersed mainly by Ramses, who pulls the Ram-Tank out of the brush and opening fire from behind, cutting a swath in the troopers and causing panic. The Ewoks help a bit, too. Some, anyway.
-Constantly throughout this adventure, the guys kill Ewoks, usually accidentally. For example, while Ramses pilots the AT-ST, he steps on a force of Ewoks every five feet, and Tu'ebb throws a grenade at a group of troopers keeping Han and Leia down...just as Ewoks run in to attack. Boom. Splat. We don't like Ewoks.
Quotes: "Wee!" -Ramses, as he opens his main guns at the force

"Bunch of bastards." -Tu'ebb, commenting on the Imperial's "reluctance to deal with terrorists"
Notes:
Once again, we used the movie to illustrate and paused to put in the characters and their actions, then playing and saying "This didn't happen" when the normal storyline continues without the character's interference.

Adveture 69: Return of the Easy Part Five B, or The Fat Lady of Space Opera
Characters Involved: Torill, Zolar
Overview: After the departure of the commando crew, Torill reluctantly consults his smuggler crew in order to form a wing of fighters for the attack on the Death Star. To his surprise, they heartily accept. Black Squadron (known among the smugglers as Rogue's Squadron) is now formed, with Torill as Black One, Zolar as Black Two (though he calls himself Beer 1), and the Rameseum as the carrier. After training the crew, the fleet hyperspaces into the battle! You should know the trap and all, but the crew runs into other troubles; for Torill, one of the smugglers (who had been chronically absent at the meetings) is actually Avinn Darstt, sneaking in to attack Torill! Though it looked bad for a while, the crew on the ground eventually pull through, and while Zolar helps the destruction of the Executor, Torill fires the shots that kill the Death Star! The Empire has finally fallen! HAHA WE BC EMPRE HAHA!!!!!~~@!
Interesting Moments: During the fight, Darstt blows a charge he had set on a corvette to delay Torill.
-Zolar finds himself under attack by a wing of TIE Defenders, the most powerful fighter in the Empire! Fortunately, he manages to fend them off. Like there was any doubt.
-When assaulting the Star Destroyers at close range, the Rameseum II uses its armored front to smash right through their shield generators while they're engaged in combat. Yeah, its stupid. Who cares?
-Zolar ends up giving a lot of battle orders to Admiral Ackbar, in typical Zolar fashion. "Quick, admiral, concentrate all fire on that Super Star Destroyer!" "Uh... ok. good idea. All ships, concentrate firepower on that Super Star Destroyer!"
-To destroy the Executor, Zolar flies up from behind it after its front shields are taken out, drops directly in front of the bridge, and fires his rear-facing torpedoes smack into the good Admiral. As good as an A-Wing!
-After losing Darstt in the tunnels of the Death Star, Torill fires the killing shots for the battle station. Then, while escaping the fireball, Torill uses the S.O.B in an insanely risky manuever, accidently taking a side passage where he has to uses concussion missles to blow his way through a thin area in the hull to escape. There's an appropriately dramatic scene where he Uses the Force, Luke, simply because they're destroying the Death Star, for crying out loud, and you've got to have a BIT of decorum when stuff like that happens, right??
-At the ending celebrations, Zolar hosts a huge pimpy dance party at the landed Rameseum II. There are laser shows and huge bass riffs and lots and lots and lots of beer and stuff like that. And no frickin' Ewoks.
Quotes: "It's a trap!" -Admiral Ackbar
Notes:
Once again, the film was used to enhance this adventure.

Interim: Ok, we finally made it to New Republic era. The guys head home, after convincing the Rebels that Sprax is on their side. New Era to come!
