The Rameseum

Introduction: It should be noted here the general dynamic of our campaign at this point. Torill believes himself to still be just another smuggler, despite his growing connection to Black Sun's more violent side. Zolar, however, has greater ambitions, which the Rameseum begins to fill nicely. He takes up running and improving the base and its denizens, going along with missions for reasons only he knows. Still, the Crew has little idea of the strange and wacky adventures they are in for, and how it will lead them on to the galactic stage.

Prelude

Adventure 37: Party Crashers, or Zolar Loses his Marbles
Characters Involved: Zolar, Ramses
Overview: The Rameseum enjoys some good buisness, as the destruction of Nim Abek's shadowport left a vacuum for legal-impaired starports, besides expensive ports like the Gricul Yards. However, as Zolar learns, not everyone enjoys a little place to rest a ship and drink beer with Umino. The new publicity of the ravaged Weequay temple draws some zealots, who protest and do some terrorist actions against the Rameseum...at least until Zolar "convinces" them (with the help of a hastily-put together hologram) that the temple was in fact on the other end of the canyon!! (zealots, while loyal, tend to be terribly stupid). The skeptics were taken care of by Ramses. Later, a reporter comes to investigate claims of pillage. He finds the evidence he needed, but as he escapes on a speederbike, Zolar chases him, knowing that if the truth were to escape, the Rameseum would be shut down. Because of a brain hiccup, Zolar decides to ram the reporter's bike. The resulting explosion left Zolar on the verge of death, with limb injuries and severe brain damage. After getting him safely in a bacta tank, Ramses manages to convince Kisquar to give him a loan to pay for Zolar's AJ^6 cybernetic unit, plus other medical costs.

Interim: We're assuming that a lot of time passes here while Zolar recovers.

The Rameseum Part 1: The Proving / Arn and Armitage

Adventure 38: Outbreak Part I, or Pyramid Scheme
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb, Zolar
Overview: Kisquar kicks off the adventure by dropping by Torill's own docking bay 21 to inform them of a job...and promptly fall into a coma. After rushing their feathered boss to the hospital, a Torill recieves a high-level communique from Vigo Sprax himself. After the first meeting with their REAL boss, the crew learns that Kisquar had been poisoned with a delay-reaction serum that had been intended for Sprax. The responsible party had been taken care of, but there was no known antidote for the poison. Therefore, Sprax was sending them to find one, whether it existed or not. After some searching, they find evidence that an herb that grows in the Doaba Badlands of Socorro may hold the key. After arriving, they find their contact is none other than Leda! After updating on the news (Leda is now the leader of the cult, and she's doing this job for money), Torill, Tu'ebb, and Zolar set out (Ramses gets stuck at the ship due to Socorro's hate of bounty hunters). However, soon sandsinks swallow Torill and Leda's speeder whole, leaving them in an underground cavern, where they are attacked by Tra'cors. Meanwhile, another sandsink reveals a strange temple to Tu'ebb and Zolar. After finding an eerie series of Monnok skeletons, they find a wounded Torill and Leda, as the passageways were connected. On trying to escape, the crew is attacked by Monnoks, apparently defending their temple. They make an escape and set off another sandsink to return the temple to eternity. And as for their original mission? Their hypothesis was wrong. Ah well.
Interesting Moments: Zolar gets screwed over in taxes by Tiranga the Hutt, because of his past bounty hunter trade.
-Ramses, because of similar rules, has to stay on the ship and play poker with the rest of the droids. Ends up that FR-OO has the best poker face.
-Among inscriptions found on the tombs by the crew is one (strangely) a large, whale-like (but bidpedal) creature with beer mugs in either hand, and several Monnok-inscriptions cowering away from it. Hmm......
-Tu'ebb and Zolar find a series of Monnok skeletons in rows, in a prostate position, apparently worshipping a figure on a throne in front of them. Upon examining, the figure on the throne appears to be a human skeleton...with a crown and lightsaber by him. A cold wind blows by as Zolar approaches it....
-There's a cool fight scene between the Monnoks and the crew, including Monnoks taking heavy double-barreled blaster/carbine shots and surviving, a stumbling run up the sand dune, and Leda killing one with "It's only moss" moss.
-Zolar gets a little carried away in cheering when the sandsink covers the Monnok reinforcements.
Quotes: "Lick it! Lick it!" -Zolar, cheering

The Backstory: By now, Kisquar had become fairly certain of the group's ability as expeditors, but Sprax needed convincing. The coincedental poisoning of Kisquar gave Sprax the chance he needed to assess for himself the Rameseum Crew's ability...

Adventure 39: Outbreak Part II, or Do You Have an Appointment
Characters Involved: All
Overview: With Kisquar getting weaker, the crew has to hurry to get an antidote. Their next try comes from a pharmaceutical company/hospital complex on Novor. After gaining access as buyers interested in the new compound the hospital is manufacturing (which has the potential to cure Kisquar), Torill, Tu'ebb and Zolar are led around by a doctor, while Ramses waits outside. However, another doctor quickly notices that Zolar has "something bad", and rushes him off to the hospital wing. However, on the way, the doctor explains the real situation. A "criminal" had said to do this, so that she could kill Zolar. Unwilling to do this (hippocratic code and all), he was going to administer a drug that would put him in a death-like coma, so he could fake it. Zolar agrees. Meanwhile, Torill and Tu'ebb are led to the catwalk over the open vats of the medecine and begin to make a deal...when suddenly Hobbes appears! A fight breaks out, in which the Trianni captures Tu'ebb in a standoff. Meanwhile, Zolar wakes up in a control room over the catwalk area to the sound of blaster fire. He contacts Ramses, who barges in and chunks some hunters in the halls. Then, none other than a cybernetic Yith walks in on Zolar, intent on revenge after her plan had been foiled! The two grappel, and fall through the window, breaking the ice in the fight below and letting Tu'ebb stab Hobbes. In the resulting fight, Yith is killed and Hobbes barely escapes. However, the fight also ruins the vats of medicine...and the crew is stuck with few options.
Interesting Moments: The fights in this adventure were orchestrated pretty darn well...and gave the crew a hard time (Zolar was almost drowned/throttled, Torill almost blown up, etc...)
-There was a classic "concussion missile chunk" scene between Ramses and a few of Yith's flunkies.

-Torill LEAPS off the catwalk into the vat, just as Hobbes' thermal dentonater brings the whole structure down.

Quotes: "Do you have an appointment?" -Ramses, imitating the irritating receptionist at the hospital before blowing away the mercenaries.
"Well...that sucked." -Torill, after the fight, floating in a vat of medicine after Hobbes blew up the catwalk with a thermal dentonator.

Interim: Zolar, in a droid-designing mood, designs and builds the WST-M pack from scratch for Ramses over the course of these past few adventures.

Adventure 40: Terminator, or Droid in Human's Clothing
Characters Involved: All
Overview: With time dwindling and merely a day to spare before Kisquar's death, the crew get one last shot- a communication from Leda! She says that she thinks an extract from the "It's Only Moss" moss could provide the cure. However, she is right now being chased by bounty hunters (she doesn't explain why yet), and needs to be picked up. The crew pile into their ships and take off at high speed for the planet. They arrive at a grungy hotel, and find Leda hiding in one of the apartments. She quickly explains that the cult she belonged to had been hunted down and extermiated by the Empire, and she was the only survivor. The rock with moss on it was also the last surviving specimen of the moss, as the Imps had paved over the patch. As the crew prepare to leave, the elevator door quickly slides open as Ramses (the rear guard, disguised in his cloak) comes face-to-face with an Arnold Schwarzanegger look-alike with a big shotgun. The look-alike proceeds to blast large holes in Ramses and take the assasin droid's best fire easily. The crew is only saved by a beautiful woman who used a concussion rifle to blow the man out the window. The crew escapes, and question their rescuer. She explains that her name is Armitage, an independent law enforcement agent on the trail of the dude who attacked the crew. She tells him that his name is Arn, an insane Human Replica Droid. He seems to be attacking and killing all droids he can get his hands on, and is now after Ramses. However, despite this deadly threat, the wrath of Black Sun hangs over the crew if they don't save Kisquar. The crew makes it towards the spaceport where their ships are docked. However, once inside, Armitage ducks off for an unknown purpose, Zolar, Ramses, and Tu'ebb run off to their ships, leaving Torill and Leda unprotected from a bounty hunter attack. However, they make it away and get off planet. Once arriving back at Kisquar's doctor, the cure works and Kisquar recovers.
Interesting Moments: The time when Arn shows up is pretty cool. Kinda like the scene in Terminator 2, you know the one, where the lady is running down the hall, and Arnold comes out of the elevator looking badass, and she slips and turns and runs and its all in slow-mo? You know the one.

The Backstory: In truth, both Arn and Armitage are human replica droids, a fact which emerges later for our characters. Both were modifications of another, somewhat more famous HRD: Guri, second-in-command to Xizor himself. Arn, a prototype advanced model, has suffered from a faulty neural net and is randomly destroying droids (including Ramses). Simonelle, the creator, frightened for his life lest Xizor discover that he is not dead and is in fact creating more HRDs, has sent Armitage to neutralize Arn before he could come to Black Sun's attention. Too late...

Meanwhile, Sprax has been impressed by the group's abilities. Though they are not yet full expeditors (and don't know even that, they don't find out until the final adventure of this section), they now take their orders directly from Sprax. Needless to say, he has plans for them.

Adventure 41: Terminator 2, or Hunter of Hunters
Characters Involved: Zolar, Ramses
Overview: Determined to stop the danger of Arn, Zolar and Ramses stop by Nwarcol Point to talk with Spyder, the local outlaw tech-whiz, to talk about ways to disable the HRD. After showing Spyder the plans given to him by Armitage, Spyder devises a way to use his plasma pack weapon to disrupt Arn's neural net. However, outside, Arn has found Ramses and a large fight ensues between the two, with both pummeling each other. The guys escape, and are planning revenge when two things happen; Armitage leaves to track Arn, and they get a call from Guri, the woman they had met during the Barani Conspiracy! She instructs them to meet with her. After an interview, she has them follow her and help her track a supposedly dead technician, Simonelle. She kills him, and then dismisses the confused guys. They return to their mission, and help Armitage hit him with a tracking dart to follow him.
Interesting Moments: It's a pretty darn cool fight between Arn and Ramses.
-Zolar gets the Plasma Pack in an exchange with it and his designs for the WST-M pack.

The Backstory: Now that Simonelle is dead, Xizor believes his unique "possesion" is truly unique. Now all Guri has to do is hunt down ARN and Armitage...

Adventure 42: Terminator 3 or Judgement Day
Characters Involved: Zolar, Ramses
Overview: Armitage, Zolar, and Ramses track Arn to a rarely-used warehouse. They set up, Zolar with double-barreled blaster rifle, Armitage with plasma pack, and Ramses with...er...built-in weaponary. On the way, Zolar mentions Guri, and how Simonelle is dead. Armitage seems extremely distressed by this, but won't explain why, becoming sullen and driven. They find Arn and some mercenaries in the center. Ramses opens up, taking out many of the mercenaries, while Zolar's bolts find few marks on the Human Replica droid. As the enemies retreat, Armitage jumps onto some boxes to the side and opens up with the plasma pack, but she gets a shotgun blast from Arn right in the face and flies off the boxes. As Ramses pursues, Zolar goes to help Armitage, but makes an amazing discovery; she is a Human Replica Droid too! He grabs the plasma pack and heads off to help Ramses, who has been trapped under a pile of crates in a trap. Ramses is disabled, Zolar is wounded and about to be taken out by Arn, when suddenly...Guri drops from a catwalk and fights Arn! Finally, Zolar gets a clear shot and blows Arn away. Guri makes an obscure remark about human replica droids, and dissapears. Zolar repairs Ramses, and they take Armitage to Spyder to see if he can fix her up. He says he'll try.
Interesting Moments: What can I say? This entire adventure was just one big, drawn out fight! Sheesh, have a cow!

The Backstory: Guri now believes that both Arn and Armitage are dead, and her mission complete. Of course, she didn't count on the technical whiz of Spyder, or the persistence of Zolar to rescue the Crew's new friend.

The Rameseum Part 2: Fall of the House of Neomen

Adventure 43: A Stranger in Town, or Tuxedo Torill
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb
Overview: While the Rameseum takes off in popularity, Black Sun is facing a possible foe. Moff Neomen, the local Moff and unwitting villain, is announcing a grand new initiative that many affect Black Sun. Torill and Tu'ebb are assigned as escorts for Kisquar and Mal as they attend a "reception" party at Neomen's new palace. However, the behind-the-scenes work is that they are to break into the back and retrieve data on Neomen's forces. After some, er, trouble, Torill manages to retrive the data...and disrupt the party. In addition, at dinner time, Neomen announces to the various dignitaries in attendance that he intends to crack down hard on crime and smuggling....bad news for the crew.
Interesting Moments: Torill, for the party, gets dressed up in a tuxedo with a top hat and mask, and throws roses a lot (for those of you who know Sailor Moon, you know who I'm talkin about).
-Among the other dignitaries in attendance is Creosote the Hutt and his bodygaurd, Squisher the Ghol. Chaos ensues.
-While escaping Neomen's gaurds, Torill is chased by an alien hound through the ventilators, and ends up in mortal combat on the rafters of the great hall.

The Backstory: The crew's first mission as expeditors. Neomen expects to regain some legitimacy with COMPNOR on this Crack Down on Crime, a more down-to-earth scheme than is typical of the nefarious, plotting moff.

Adventure 44: Neomen Cracks Down, or No Rebellion 4 U
Characters Involved: Ramses, Zolar
Overview: Neomen, in his Crack Down on Crime initiative, gets more customs and other various irritating officials into the Sisar Run mix. This seriously cramps the Rameseum's style, as smugglers used to transporting illegal cargoes with minimum interference are getting arrested left and right. Even Torill almost gets arrested (in a pre-adventure encounter). In response, Zolar begins attempting to help the Rebellion attempts in this sector. He contacts Sandwind team, the local Rebel cell, and makes a deal to have the Rameseum as a base for X-Wings. In addition, gets a mission from them to retrieve info on shipping movements from the planet Beren. Zolar and Ramses then depart, evade customs inspectors, and arrive at their destination. Zolar gets the info at the spaceport, but is tracked to the bathroom and arrested by an ISB agent and several of Neomen's stormtroopers. Ramses, getting the emergency signal from Zolar, enters and blows everything apart before escaping. After the adventure, the Alliance fighters arrive and set up shop (much to the dismay of the uninformed smugglers).
Interesting Moments: There's a pretty cool fight/brawl between Zolar and the ISB agent and stormtroopers.

Interim: During this time, Spyder returns with a functioning (if more sullen) Armitage and a large bill.

Adventure 45: The Siege, Part I, or Deep Lurking
Characters Involved: All
Overview: Kisquar gives the Rameseum crew an emergency contact; his spies have caught wind of a top-secret assault/sting operation on the Rameseum, pushed by Moff Neomen! Now THAT'S cracking down on crime! The crew quickly plans a counterstrike attack. After some searching, they learn where the transports that are carrying the troops are loading up. With the help of Spyder, the local outlaw tech, Torill devises a scheme to install patches into the transports that foul up their sensor data. After daringly getting aboard and putting them on, the crew prepares an interception raid using the 'Tan, Dauphern, and the X-Wings at the Rameseum. Despite an escort frigate, the crew manages to destroy a good portion of the transports before retreating.
Interesting Moment: Tu'ebb had to make a daring escape from the transport before it took off, involving holding on to a grating 127.3 feet above the ground with his fingertips.
-A good TIE pilot (probably the captain) harrasses the Dauphern for quite a bit, before the 'Tan and the Dauphern make a close pass and have their respecting pursuers crash.
Quotes: "Uh, Mr. Sprax? If we're caught, will Jaytayus Inc. deny any knowledge of our existence?"
"Of course."
"Oh. And, uh, will this datapad self-destruct in 5 seconds?"
"No. I like to think that I can rely on the initiative of my employees."
-Torill and Vigo Sprax, in one of the greatest quotes of the campaign
"Red Squadron, I'm making an attack run on the frigate!"
"Red Leader to Dauphern...are you insane?!"
"Not legally." -
Zolar and Red Leader
"Hey, you got YT-2400 on my '1300!"
"Hey, you got '1300 on my '2400!"
-Zolar and Torill, after a small scrape in a close fly-by.

Adventure 46: The Siege, Part II or Fight For Your Right to Party
Characters Involved: All
Overview: An emergency council of the Rameseum is called, where the crew decides to defend their turf (despite Torill's pleas to flee). Each Rameseum crew member takes a role. Torill coordinated and was a front-line soldier, Tu'ebb devised a plan with kamikaze speeders and bombs, Zolar commanded and sabotaged smuggler's ships so they were stuck and had to fight (more troops), and Ramses...well....assaulted. Also, Umino was morale officer, Dex as arms officer, Leda as medic, Armitage as a front-liner, and Bobo armed an E-web(!). The army of Neomen charges the base, causing destruction and havoc, but the outlaws fight well enough to stop the assault. However, a group of Compforce troopers had rappeled down into the hangar during the fight, and caused problems before it was solved by Our Brave Lads.
Interesting Moments: The two AT-STs in the force were nastied pretty darn quickly by Ramses. Go fig.
-Bobo, arming an E-Web, gets a lucky shot and downs a strafing TIE fighter. Heh.
-There's some cool character acting during the fight.
-To take out the troopers once and for all, Tu'ebb's suicide speeders rip into the force, causing havoc.
Quotes: "Y'know what? YOU guys are REALLY starting to PISS ME OFF! I've had enough of action for one day even before....etc." -Torill, in a long and spurious rant at a bewildered Compforce trooper during a hostage situation.
"The two troopers are on opposite sides of the bay."
"Great, I got a split." -
Michael and Warren

Adventure 47: Standoff, or The Negotiator
Characters Involved:All (Torill and Tu'ebb for only some)
Overview: After a very embarrasing defeat by the Rameseum, Neomen retaliates by increasing the bounty already on the guys' heads. To throw off the scent, Torill and Tu'ebb dress up as bounty hunters and bring in a mock-up of Ramses' head to "prove" that they're dead. However, bigger news arrives when an Imperial shuttle lands at the Rameseum and Neomen's majordomo, Captain Fremantle, walks out! He says that he is willing to discuss a truce. While conferring with Zolar, he tells them that Neomen has sent his flagship Star Destroyer that will nuke the Rameseum in half an hour, but Fremantle will secretly cancel it if they can strike a deal. His reason is that he wouldn't make a good living without his "personal retirement fund" that he gets from Black Sun. After making the deal (which involves booting out the Rebels and the crew laying low), the two are surprised by Fremantle's gaurds, who are still loyal to Neomen! In the (close) fight that ensues, Zolar manages to save the Rameseum from orbital bombardment with seconds to spare.
Interesting Moments: In the fight, Fremantle almost falls off Temptation Canyon, and Zolar is almost throttled by Neomen's gaurd before his attacker is blown off by Armitage.
-Zolar has to make a close dive for Fremantle's comlink before it gets eaten by the bandigos at the bottom of the canyon.

Adventure 48: Coup d'Etat, or Mission: Quite Possible
Characters Involved: All
Overview: About a week later, Sprax calls a meeting with the guys. He tells them that Neomen has been cramping Black Sun, what with his throwing out corrupt officials and not buying from Sprax's "slightly used" (and bugged) ships. He is therefore considering that the guys help with a plan to somehow oust the irritating Moff. He gives them a few ideas of what to do, but when the guys get back to the Rameseum, they know what they have to do. Neomen has apparently seen through Fremantle's deception and attacked the Rameseum, carting off all the crew to the cells! The guys plan sweet revenge. They use gliders to infiltrate Neomen's palace and sneak in, avoiding security systems, blasting gaurds, and freeing all their comrades, except for Leda. Torill gets up to Neomen's office, only to find him escaping with the good doctor. In true knight-errant fashion, the crew follows after setting the backup generators at the palace to blow. They evade fighters and get to his secret base on the Moon! In hot pursuit, they evade more traps and assault troopers (troopers who suspiciously resemble American Gladiators), and turn the corner; only to find Neomen in a wicked-looking suit of power armor! After a nasty battle, Torill sends Neomen plunging to his death(?) off the cliff behind the base and escape moments before the base is destroyed by TIE Bombers.
Interesting Moments: Torill wears his stupid little tuxedo thing again. What a retard (smacksmacksmack owwww).
-Zolar and Tu'ebb find the main computer bank room, and download a big heaping load of top-secret Imperial stuff.
-Torill finds a pair of experimental repulsorlift boots in the lab.
-When they free Dex, it turns out that his brother was a Dark Apprentice sent to interrogate him! However, Torill, Ramses and Dex attack and kill the group.
-When infiltrating Neomen's secret base, the crew have to contend with the Moff's personal American Gladiators, Sting and Ice.
-Neomen's "Chocolate Infinity" (his suit of power armor), was cool. It had a big chain gun on one arm, and a grenade launcher on the other, and a rocket pack on the back. Lotsa armor too. He was defeated when Tu'ebb cracked open the helmet, and Torill threw a rose thingymabobber at him, knocked him off balance, and sent him over the edge of a cliff.
-Umino gets his leg full of bullets when he tries to dodge a chaingun burst from Neomen.
-After Neomen is knocked off, Leda is left hanging onto the edge. She slips, but Torill (wearing the repulsorlift boots, that he stole off the incapacitated Zolar) jumps off the edge and barely saves her before hitting the bottom.
Quotes: "Nyeh, prepare to die!!!!" -Neomen, before opening fire with Chocolate Infinity.
"YOU'LL PAY FOR THIIIISSSSSS!!!!!"
-Neomen, falling to his death(?).
Notes:
This adventure ranks as the longest adventure played by us. From mid-afternoon till 2 o'clock in the morning, baby!

The Backstory: Yes folks, it's a CONSPIRACY!! COMPNOR, disgusted with Moff Neomen's wasteful ways and the spectacular failure of Crack Down on Crime, have decided to oust him. Working together with the corrupt Fremantle, they engineer the capture of the Rameseum Crew without Neomen's knowledge, knowing it will bring sharp retaliation from Black Sun. Then, they infiltrate and weaken the defenses at Neomen's palace, allowing the guys in. When the bewildered Neomen fled to his Secret Lair™, they allowed the group to follow and kill him, then laid down a TIE Bomber strike to nuke the bunker.

The Rameseum Part 3: A Horrible Horrible Dream

Notes: Sometime- we don't know when, exactly- Zolar fell asleep. What follows could be reality. But perhaps there is a grain of truth in what we are about to relate. The galaxy may never know if the events of these weeks truly happened, whether the Sisar truly disappeared to the will of a single madman... or if it merely occured in the spaces between Zolar's head. Prepare to enter... the Twilight Zone. (duuuunn-duh duh duh dun.)

Adventure 49: Family Ties, or Home Alone 4
Characters Involved: All
Overview: Following the chaos of Moff Neomen's assasination, the crew decide to lie low for a little bit. However, their peace is soon disturbed when Umino receives a ransom note. Someone has kidnapped his mother! He pleas the guys to help him. Grudgingly, the guys decide to aid the distressed Herglic. They track the kidnapper to Sharnen IV, where whoever it is lives in a large mansion in the wilderness. After breaking in and dealing with a Twyck, the guys try to get into the house, only to run into traps a la Home Alone. As Torill, Tu'ebb and Ramses chase the perpatrator (a spoiled brat having fun), Zolar rescues Umino's mom; a bitching, angry, female Herglic with a chip on her shoulder. The kid gets away, but Umino's happy(?).
Interesting Moments: Before Umino gets the note, he walks up out of the medbay carrying a display case with all the bullets taken out of his leg from the previous adventure, labeled "Neomen's Folly." He hangs it above the bar.
-When Ramses fights the Twyck, he tries to blow it away with a concussion missle, only to have it dodge and leap at him...then knock itself unconsious trying to bury into his armour.
-If you've seen Home Alone, you know the various tactics the kid used to confound the crew.
Quotes: "NEEEEEIIILLLL!!!!!" -Umino's mom, yelling for Umino (whose real name is, apparently, Neil)
Notes:
Yeah, this whole adventure was tounge-in-cheek. You didn't notice?

Adventure 50: Discord, or Motivator's Blown
Characters Involved: All
Overview: Vigo Sprax calls for a meeting with Torill. He sends him off on a mission to check out-and possibly buy-a rumor of a new 1/4th hyperdrive motivator. However, meanwhile, an unknown third party hires the services of Ramses and Zolar to assasinate a buisness partner who cheated him and is making a scam about some new technology. Torill starts to conclude a deal with the scientist when suddenly, Ramses comes blasting through the front door (surprise, the two missions were one and the same!!). There's a tense standoff between the two, ending up in Tu'ebb sneaking up behind and shutting down the droid from his switch. As the guys bug out (with a pissed-off Ramses and Zolar), there's a brief comlink message from a mysterious computer-generated face that taunts them briefly before disappearing. They don't know it at the time, but it's Malhomme.
Notes: This arc died from the beginning, but I had to drag these guys through it to justify making up Malhomme. Ah well.

Adventure 51: Incident at Fuzzerburger, or They're Everywhere
Characters Involved: All
Overview: Torill and Tu'ebb stop for a refuel at Nwarcol Point a bit while setting up a shipping run. However, when they run into their contact, he and everyone in the place pull blasters on the two! Bewildered, they are about to be shot when Ramses (who luckily was on Nwarcol for a different reason) blasts in and saves their hides. They bug out as quickly as possible, as it appears noone likes them now, save Frank, the starport controller (who doesn't seem to be affected by anything).
Interesting Moments: Tu'ebb takes out a large Wookie by hefting the cash register at him, then taking out others with sprays of hot grease from the french fries.
Ramses came through the wall to save the guys.

Adventure 52: The Search for Spyder, or Kamikaze Ewoks
Characters Involved: All
Overview: When the bewildered crew finally get back to the Rameseum, after being harrased by ordinary Joes after every move, they find a surprise: Vigo Sprax and Kisquar are waiting! They explain a similar situation as that the crew ran into; formerly normal people going beserk and attacking them. Sprax's criminal empire has tumbled, because everyone is attacking this small group. While trying to find an answer, Tu'ebb finds that there are far more communications going on in the sector than normal; something weird is going on. To trace them, the crew must risk a trip back to Nwarcol to talk with Spyder, the only one who has the technology to help. After managing to sneak aboard, they find Spyder hiding, apparently in the same situation as them. However, before they can escape, an EWOK appears around the corner, with thermal dentonators strapped to him! The explosion blows a hole in the hull of the station, and Ramses barely manages to make it by the sealing doors and bring the ship around before the guys run out of air.
Interesting Moments: The explosion of the ewok is pretty cool, especially if you think in CGI.
Quotes: "Yip Yip!" -The ewok, before running straight at Ramses.
Notes:
I got this idea from a friend, who suggested that the only way to kill Ramses is a closed room full of ewoks with thermal dentonators strapped to them. Though it's an enjoyable mental image, I'm not quite that mean.

Adventure 53: The Big Easy Christmas Special, or The Grinch who Stole the Rameseum
Characters Involved: All
Overview: As the guys return home from their last encounter, they find a strange sight; the Rameseum is decked out with Christmas lights?! When the enter, Umino explains that it's time for the incredibly short winter season on Sriluur. And when it's winter, it's winter! When the guys wake up next morning, the 6' deep snow has already melted, but a shocking sight awaits them; the entire Rameseum has been has been stripped down to bare floors! Rather than realizing that Christmas is about friendship and songs, the guys decide that beer is more important that cheer and set off after the perp's trail. They trace him to the inside of a mountain base. There, they deal with deadly, giant worms (not native to Sriluur), and find an underground base with (surprise surprise) all the Rameseum's stuff! After intercepting a strange communication that suggests that the man in charge of it all is named Malhomme, they chase the bad guy (who looks surprisingly like the Grinch of Dr. Suess fame) out and manage to make a dash out of the mountain when the Grinch blows it up with a nuke.
Interesting Moments: Umino immediately falls unconcious when he finds that there's no bar.

-Torill, trying to save both Dex and Leda from a worm, strips the gears on his cybernetic arm trying to pull the chain of panicked friends up a steep incline. Later, as Torill complains to Ramses about his wrecked arm, Ramses opts for the blunt solution: blowing it off. Torill is not amused.

-There's a speeder chase as the Grinch gets away with the Rameseum, followed by the crew. It's er...urged along by the shock wave behind them from the exploding mountain.

-When Ramses finally climbs into the speeder truck that the Grinch is driving, Ramses just bitch-smacks the guy up. Kind of an anti-climax, except for the shock wave.

-Irritated at losing their valued Sandpopper landspeeder in the explosion, Torill and Tu'ebb are surprised when the hulk comes crashing down in the Rameseum front yard, smoking dramatically.
Notes: This adventure was played right before Christmas, and counts as our only holiday-oriented adventure.
Quotes: "OWW!! Ramses, whatthahelliswrongwithyou??!" -Torill, on discovering that Ramses' neural net needs some recalibration

Adventure 54: The Truth Revealed, or Keel the Bastard
Characters Involved: All
Overview: With the equipment returned home, Spyder begins working on the decryption codes that are in the myriad communications throughout the sector. Also, through an attempted assasination of Tu'ebb by a mind-controlled smuggler, Leda finds the reason why people are acting this way; a small chip implanted in the brain that releases chemicals to act as a mind-controller. With this as a reason, and Spyder having traced Malhomme to a base on Sedri, the crew assembles a strike force to take him out. After sneaking through his (considerable) ground-based starship defenses, they (the guys and the crew of the Rameseum as backup) don mission: impossible style gear and break into the compound, dismantling security droids as they go. When they finally find Malhomme, they see the truth: he is a withered man, sitting with VR goggles and computer banks all around them. Despite a tense moment where he threatens to blow up the mind-control devices, thereby killing everyone in the sector, Ramses quickly diffuses the threat in his own... "special style" and the crew proceed to kick the poor shmuck's ass.
Interesting Moments: Guri shows up at the Rameseum, accusing Sprax of rebelling and almost killing him. However, when the situation is explained to her, she joins the hunt to kill Malhomme.
-Malhomme holds his finger in front of a button, threatening that all he needs to do kill everyone in the sector is move his finger. Ramses blows off his hand.

-For some reason, both Hobbes and Darinna show up to help beat down Malhomme's ass. Don't ask us.
Notes: Good riddance.

Interim: At the end of this adventure, Zolar wakes up in bed in a cold sweat. "It was all a dream.... a horrible, horrible dream!" Then he goes downstairs and has a beer, then he designs a new gun, then he drinks some more beer.

Adventure 55: Last Run, or The Iotran Imbroglio
Characters Involved: Torill, Tu'ebb
Overview: One day, Mal Biron talks with Torill about something important. He feels that he's getting old, and needs someone to replace him. He wants that someone to be Torill. However, to make sure he's ready, Mal challenges Torill to a race. Whoever completes a dangerous and complicated smuggling run first would be the one to keep the job of "shipping coordinator" of Jaytayus Outbound. After braving the many challenges of the run and almost getting busted by Imperial and local police, Torill finally manages to beat Biron in the race, and gets his old boss's job.
Interesting Moments: Near the end of the race, to avoid patrols after him around Iotra, Torill does the amazingly crazy manuever of diving at full speed through the atmosphere, then pulling up at the last second and (literally) skimming sideways through a boulevard of the city.
-At the dropoff point, Torill and Tu'ebb almost get busted before stealing a cop speeder and dashing in a mad chase through the city, ending in going straight (with resulting explosion) through a police roadblock.

The Backstory: This marks Mal's step-aside as Torill and Zolar's boss ( though noone is Zolar's boss), and their ascent to full expeditor status. They are briefed by Sprax, and are surprised, kind of honored and elated. Then they go have a beer.

Interim: In a post-adventure thingy, Zolar sets his eyes on the Rameseum II. He attacks a convoy and manages to make away with an Action VI freighter, then heads to Socorro and gets Torill's help in letting the Cjallscye'I's techs to modify it into the party ship we now know and love. Oh yeah, and a few months pass before the next adventure.
