Places of Interest Continued...

Icemule Jailhouse - The clink, the big house , the cooler, prison .. but whatever you call it, you hope to never have to be here. But if you are so unfortunate as to land in here, hope you have the silver to pay the fines layed against you for your crime.

To get there from TC: 4 blocks east, 1 block south, Go Path, Go Door

Possible crimes that can get you thrown in jail:

Attacking a NPC - Kicking, punching, throwing, or outright attacking any NPC will get you thrown in jail with a fine that varies on the type of NPC and how many offences you happen to have prior to the incident in question. Seen some go as high as 100,000 silvers for attacking the sheriff.

Killing another player while with in town limits - This is highly frowned upon, and even killing someone outside of town can still get you thrown in jail, fined and possibly banned from the lands. This is just outright murder in some cases, and a Accident at others.

Theft of Items/Picking Pockets - You can be jailed and fined if you are "caught" stealing and the accusing party can prove it. I suggest if you are going to perform Illicit acts as this , you had best be able to either run fast, or be able to take a massive beating as most folks in the least take hostile action to thieves. This is compounded if you happen to steal from a Empath or Ressurection Cleric, folks do not like to have those that are their life lines trifled with.

Hooliganism - out right disruptive behavior. Such as kicking and punching people repeatedly, "Scrolling" where you flood a room with actions over and over, Sexual remarks or actions to someone that is not known to you.. which if they are known should be taken to a private place and not done in public, and foul language are all under this type of offence. You are almost always given a warning and a fine, repeat offences include larger fines, Silencing, a meeting with a host or gamemaster to explain the rules of conduct, and possible banning from the realms.

Once in jail you are keep in a holding cell, striped of all items and silver till the fine is determined , and the gods have a chance to check your record as to what action is to be taken. Once released you are told your fine and have 1 hour realtime, not game time. to come up with the fine funds, failure to do so means that all your possessions and any money on you and in banks are confiscated to be sold by the town.(meaning they are gone for good). if the fine is payed (at the bondsman) then you are free to retrieve your items which are in a box on the desk in the jail office.

Bumblefinger's Pawnshop - This is a staple place to know , you can come here and sell the loot gained from hunting, as well as find deals on "used" merchandise.

To get there from TC: 4 blocks east, 1 block south, 1 block west , 1 block southwest , 1 block southeast ,1 block east , Climb the stairs, go through the door and you are there.

Furryback's Pelt and Fur - This is where to go to sell those skins, hides, pelts and other body parts "skinned" off of some dead critters. Some skins fetch a nice bit of silver , and for some is the main source of income from a hunt.

To get there from TC: 4 blocks east, 1 block south, 1 block west , 1 block southwest , 1 block southeast ,Go Furrier/Store and you are there.

The Glowing Zircon Gemshop - The is a little place to take your gemstones and other such baubles to sell, which usually make a good bit of silver if you find some on the rarer gems.

To get there from TC: 1 block east , 2 blocks south , Go Gemshop

To sell a gem , you need to get it out and hold it on hand, then either APPRAISE < GEM > to get a price on the gem, or you can just SELL < GEM > to just outright sell it with no concern on the value. Also you can now sell gems in bulk. All you need to do is hold the container holding the gems and APPRAISE/SELL <CONTAINER>. This will sell all gems at one time , and save you the trouble of selling them one at a time. There is no fear of selling anything on the container that is not a gem, the jeweler is only intrested in the gems.

Stucco Well - Also know as the Picker's Well. This is where to come if you need any boxes taken from dead critters to be opened. Please , if you are not a Rogue and do not have considerable skill in Pick Locks and Disarm traps , do not try and open your own boxes. It usually results in a nice smoldering corpsicleª.

To get there from TC: 2 blocks west, 2 blocks south

[note:Be sure to tip your picker well, they are not there to open your boxes out of courtesy.    Picking is a service rendered by those with the skill and knowledge of  how to safely remove         traps and unlock boxes.]

Healer's Cottage - Home of the Famed healer Mirtag & the Miracle Worker.

To get there from TC: 2 blocks west, 1 block south , 1 block southwest, 1 block west, go cottage, 1 room west

This is more or less a last resort to finding a Empath or Cleric in TC. The Healer will fix your wounds with herbal remedies (which leave you with scars by the way), at a considerable cost. I myself never used this method of healing as if cuts into the profit of hunts, and is much cheaper to tip a Empath well for their services than it is to pay the outrageous cost of the healer's herbs. But this is just my Opinion.

The Miricle Worker is a replacement for a Cleric, if none can be found and you don't want to decay. it is kinda costly , not sure how this woks, but if  I remember right it requires another person to sacrifice the spirit for the raise. Least that is how it used to work in Landing. Been well over 4 years since I had to use that. And with the way the Priesthood is growing , I am sure this is a less desireable way of being raised.

Main Temple - Place to go for Worship of you particular deity. Weather a Light god follower, or a Dark God Follower, this is the place to go to find the altar. Once ina while the Mentor Society has guided tours and the history of each of the gods. the Main chamber is a place to rest and recover as it is "noded".

(there is more info later in this guide about the entire temple complex, in the "Places of Worship" section)

To get there from TC: 3 blocks north , 1 block east , Go up the ramp , go into the Temple

This is also where you come to get "Deeds" to help keep you alive longer and get Lominstra's favor to grant you another chance at life. to gain a deed follow this process:

From TC go 3 blocks north, one block east, go ramp

Here you will see a Ice flow, search the Flow till you find a Ice encrusted door.

If the door is open , go through the door. if Closed You will have to wait for the person to Vacate the Deed room till you can enter. which at time takes a while seeing that some folks tend to get more than one deed t a time.

Once inside , close door till it clinks shut, pull the chain, which causes the drawer to open.

Open the drawer , and places item inside that are going to be used for deeds. Then once all the items are inside the drawer , Close Drawer. You shoulder some kind of reaction, Scent of Tarts, the gods are pleased etc etc . As long as you do not get the "You feel as if you could have given more" , you will have a deed.  To get more deeds , just open the door and repeat the process again till you have as many deeds as you want or can get at that time.

Here silvers can not be used for deeds as in Wehnimer's landing. What can be used is any item of value. Gems & wands are the most common items used as they have a high value.

Also you can use weapons off of critters to get deeds. Most common used are Rapiers from Hobgoblins , Broadswords from Thyrils, handaxes from Lesser frost shades, and Falchions from Silverback orcs. Though any weapon can be used. Scrolls , Crystal Amulets, and other such things gotten as loot from critters can be used as well. Gold rings do not work for deeds.

If you have any questions , feel free to ask someone. The folks in mule or usually helpful.

Deed recap:

From TC go 3 blocks north, one block east, go ramp

Search Flow till you find the Ice-encrusted door

Go door (if open, wait if it is closed)

Close door

Pull Chain

Open Drawer

Put <Item> in Drawer

Close Drawer

If this was done right you will get a message saying that you got a deed, if you ever get the

"you feel you could have given more" message you did not get a deed, and need to put more

in next time to gain a deed.

Silverwood Manor - This is the home and Headquarter of the Society of Lorekeepers know as Mentors.

To get there from TC: 2 blocks west, 2 blocks north, go gate

They're in the lands to help out younger folks and to provide the realms with the history and knowledge of Elanthia. They hold classes, Hunting parties, Storytelling events and other such functions as way to make the realms more fun and knowledgeable.

If you ever find yourself asking a question about one thing or another about the way things are done, history, how to get started, go to the manor and pull the rope, if there is a mentor around on Duty they will come to help, if there is no mentor feel free to "Assist" and a Game Host will come along once they have time.
