Fun Things

The Dusty Owl is a monthly poetry reading series featuring Ottawa writers, musicians and other talented folk.  It takes place at Swizzles Bar and Grill. 

No poetry reading at Swizzles would be complete without karaoke, courtesy of Dog and Pony Sound.

If you're a climber and ever in Ottawa, check out the Coyote Rock Gym - great place, friendly, and great for beginners and experts both.  If you climb in Vancouver, check out Vertical Reality, a rock gym with fantastic atmosphere and great staff.

For those obsessed with orchids like I am, check out the Ottawa Orchid Society.

The Stone, the Internet mystery game. Where you must think laterally (and sometimes upside down and backwards) to solve visual riddles. Difficult, but fun!
