Background: Alexis is the direct descendent of Vlad Taltos (of Steven Brust fame). She is of average size, about 1.7 meters tall, and weighs about 70 kilos. She makes a living by assassination, as well as running protection rackets, brothels, etc. She also periodically hires herself out as a security consultant. She is currently in the employ of a wealthy, magically-active, elven individual in Portland, Tir Tairngire. This is also where her current residence is located.

She uses large amounts of small, thrown weapons (darts, small knives, etc., all doing from (Str)L damage (which are usually poisoned with a variety of lethal and non-lethal toxins) to (STR+2)L). These are all secreted about her body, and all of them are made of various composite materials. The more damaging weapons also double as melee weapons (i.e., knives). She usually has upwards of 40 such weapons. Every 5 days or so, she makes a complete change of all her weapons, except her sword, to stop any weapons used on a crime scene from being used as a ritual link. She uses a specially weighted monosword to make full use of the peculiar fencing style used by her family since Vlad. (This sword provides and additional Combat Pool die for use in melee combat with it.) She has also had a level 1 Synaptic Accelerator installed (already factored in).

Alexis Taltos is a aspected magician (sorceror) and makes large use of detection spells and ritual magic, using "witchcraft" for the rituals (not the actual Wiccan religion). She is a level two initiate, and has the metamagics of Cleansing, Masking, and Centering, using zen as a centering skill. Through unknown means, she is able to use centering to attempt to negate penalties in armed combat using an edged weapon, despite not being an adept.

For assassinations, her favorite method is a dagger through the eye. In fact, for most wetwork, a dagger or knife is used almost exclusively. She will prefer to take as much time as necessary, and not rush the an assassination. She will plan everything, and search for a habit, aspect, or idiosyncrasy to exploit. She has been known to refuse jobs that require a time-limit.

GM Notes: Alexis is meant to be a very challenging opponent for your characters. If using the guidelines from the Companion, she should be a Superior to Superhuman opponent, depending on your characters experience and skills. Feel free to increase her stats as you see fit, but you should not lower her stats. She is primarily into stealth and should be played as such. She is willing to stand and fight, but would prefer not to.
