My overview of How
to Record
Recording sounds is something anyone can easily do using either the CD player, a
microphone, or from cassettes. To record on a computer, there are four tools
necessary to perform this task. These include: the CD player, the sound
recorder, volume control, and recording controls.
Each of the tools mentioned above have a
special function. The CD player lets you play your favorite CD's and record them.
Also, the sound recorder itself gives you the option of recording a 60 second wav
file which can include CD recordings mixed with microphone recordings. Volume
control allows you to control the speaker balance and the volume of your sound.
Finally, the recording controls is where you select the device you want to record with,
and the volume to record at.
In order to fade your sound during recording, press record and gradually increase the
volume. To fade at the end of the piece, gradually decrease sound. This will
give you a great effect with your wav file.
