3-Cad - My room Floor Plan View
In order to draw the 3-D CAD version of my room, I had to first find all the dimensions of the objects in my room. Next, using the wall and door tools, I constructed the base walls of the room. Using the furniture tools, I scanned through the options in order to find the furniture pieces which best matched the ones I own. Once they were all placed in the correct spots, I used the text tool to label what each piece was. The final steps were to place a phone jack, electrical outlets, and a TV outlet using the electricity tools, and finally to use the dimension tool to place on all the wall dimensions. Isometric View
To create this view, I went into the view option, and chose the 3D option. Once the image was on the screen, I scrolled up in the angle view in order to get a better view of the entire room. Camera View
For the camera view, I once again went into the view choices, and chose the viewpoint option where I drew a line on the image to see the view of that area. After scrolling around the room, I came to this view, which I felt was the best one to get the idea of what the room looks like. 3-D CAD Advantages In my opinion, the software program 3-D CAD is a lot more helpful when it comes to computer aided design. With this program, there are many additional options, such as furniture, and room views. Since you can look at your design in a three dimensional way, you have a better idea of where objects should be placed, and color combinations. The only pitfall that I found with the program is that when you view your drawing, the walls have a tendency to get in the way, since they are solid. Perhaps if when you were viewing the design for the outside, then the walls could be transparent so you can see inside the room. This program an important asset to the architecture world, in that it allows the designer to see what they are drawing, and include the objects which will be present in the real room.
