I had the chance to "meet" George twice. The party started at 8 p.m., but George didn't arrive until past
10. As soon as he arrived he hid in a room where only VIP's where allowed
to get in. My impression about the people at the party was that most of
them where from Virgin (from different countries) and a lot of fans from
different countries too. I guess there were George's family and friends,
but to be honest, I was too excited of being near George to notice anything
else.
Sometime after George arrived, all the fans were led to a room in which we
waited our turn to meet George. His job that night was to sign us an
autograph and pose for a photo with us. So that's what happened. I get in
to the room with another two girls from Spain. He shook our hands
and said "Hi". I tried to answer him but I'm afraid I wasn't heard :)
Then he signed a picture for us and posed for a photo with each one of us.
Finally we kissed him and he said "very Spanish" (I think he was surprised
of our reaction) (Spaniards are in the habit of kissing twice as a
greeting). I have to say that it happened very fast and there was a lot of
people waiting before us. Also my English speaking is not very good (and
while you are reading this, so is my writing, you probably think :o))
The second time I meet George was at the MTV Unplugged. About this I only can say that it was amazing. George was brilliant and really funny. I was at the left side of the stage, just behind Chris Cameron, if you pay attention you can see me at the beginning of I Can't Make You Love Me. One of the best things of that concert was that people were listening to him, not screaming or singing, just listening, and the sound was really good. Well, also I didn't have to fight to get a good seat! :o)
Take care
