CONCERT STORIES=Well I have to say that it has been a week and a half since i saw Stevie Nicks in concert and i am still in some kind of state of euphoria. I don' t think i have ever experienced anything like this in my life even though i am only 17.
I was lucky enough to attend opening night in Hartford I would have done this earlier but I just found his page .I seriously couldn' t believe that I was going to see her in person but when she walked on stage I was just in awe.
My seats weren' t that great more later but i was just soo happy to be in the same building with her. I am not going to go into detail about every song they were all wonderful some of my favorites were " Outside the rain", "Gold and Braid", "Edge of 17"......and the acoustic set was really nice. What really impressed me was theway she actually talked with the crowd about the songs and she was just very gracious and sweet..

Ok now for the best part of theconcert for me anyway . Like i said my seats weren' t that great but I was determined to see her up close I just had to because to me the womanis like some type of Angel or Goddess.
So during EDGE I went down to the lower section of seats hoping they would let me go through down to the stage where there was already a bunch of people. Well they wouldn' t let me because i wasn't seated in that sec. so after waiting 10 min i finally started inching forward a litte and there was this woman standing next to me and she pushed me and said go and i ran down there so fast all the time looking back waiting for the security to come get me but they didn' t and I looked up and THERE SHE WAS I finally got about 10 feet away from the stage right when she started singing Has anyone ever written and that was it I was in this total state of happiness I couldn' t believe how beautiful she is up close and that song....wow.

That is one night i will never forget for the rest of my life Stevie Nicks is truly an amazing performer and she will always have a special place in my heart.

REVIEW:
I am a fairly new Stevie fan. I have only listened to her music for about a year, but it has already touched me deeply. When I heard she was coming to Columbus, just 1 hour away form my home, I literally begged my mother to get tickets. Being the sweet, caring person she is (it helped that she likes Stevie too), she did just that. Our seats weren't that hot, but I was grateful just to be going.

When June 5 rolled around, it was freezing cold. The expected temperature was 45 degrees and it got colder than that. We brought a blanket and prepared to suffer. There was no way I would miss this, no matter what the weather threw at me. When Stevie came onstage, I was shaking with anticipation. By the time she sang her fourth song, I was in silent tears. I WAS SEEING STEVIE NICKS LIVE!!!!!! Then, all of a sudden, she sang "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You" and it was over. Just like that. Like a fleeting dream. But it was a dream I'll never forget.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to express my thoughts to people whom I know can understand.

CONCERT STORIES=Here is my concert experience Pittsburgh Starlake show, June 9, 1998:

We arrived at Starlake around 6:30 p.m. We pulled into VIP parking and then walked the lot to see if we could find any other list members from Enchanted and Rumours. We found several nice people tail-gating and stopped to chat for awhile. My friend, Jeff, who is VERY honest asked the guy at the gate if he could take his camera in and the guy said no. Jeff then went back to the car with the camera and we walked the lot again as more people had arrived.

Three teenage girls yelled "Hey Stevie!" to me as I was fully dressed in Stevie's outfit from the Dance (courtesy of Bear). The young girls came over and complimented me on my outfit. We then decided to enter the venue because we were supposed to meet some Enchanted and Rumours members at 7:15 to the entrance of pit seating (left side). As we walked in I got several admiring looks and several weird looks on my outfit. Some people gave me smiles and thumbs up and some people snickered and laughed behind my back. Did I care about these people that did not understand? Hell no, I just ignored them and their snide remarks.

Waiting at the entrance to pit seating, we met up with Karen and her husband, Phil (from Rumours) and MaryBeth and her husband, Barry (from Enchanted). These people were very nice and friendly and we talked up a storm. We then met a nice fellow named Mike Struchen. I believe he was from Enchanted too. These people were very nice, not "internet weirdos" like my husband thinks.

At 8:00 we found our seats and sat down to watch Boz Scaggs, who I must say, put on a very good show. His back-up singer, Lisa Frazier, was excellent. Boz left the stage and came back for an encore. When he was finished, the road crew began removing his equipment and checking and positioning Stevie's equipment. At this time, we went back out to our meeting place and talked with MaryBeth and Barry again. We saw Karen and Phil in passing. At about 9:15 we went back to our seats and got ready for!! Stevie.

The lights went down and the whole venue screamed when Christopher Nicks came on to read the definition of Enchanted. Then the lights came up and there she was! I screamed "Stevie" real loud and everyone was on their feet. I about died, I have never seen her this close before. She came out wearing the velvet floor-length coat from the Leno show and changed accordingly for each grouping of songs. Among the clothing I saw besides the first outfit were: the Gold Dust Woman shawl (which looked more beautiful than it did on the Dance), a red and gold floor-length dress/jacket (made of satin, I think), a red jacket thing (during Whole Lotta Trouble), a beautiful silver-gray full length shawl (that looked like a dress), a white sparkly shawl (floor-length) and the last outfit a beautiful sliver/white floor-length velvet, rhinestone, satin jacket with a white shawl over it. I may have missed a few here. After Twisted, which I must say was the best I've ever heard her! ! do this song, my friend and I went to the stage and I got up right against it, I was next to last at the stage. There was no pushing or shoving. We were in 7th row and it was a piece of cake to get up there. I watched Edge of Seventeen from the stage front.

After the song was over, Stevie started to make her way along the stage shaking people's hands and collecting some gifts. I saw her put on a ring, a thing that was like a tassel (like a priest wears) around her neck, a bouquet of Black-eyed Susan flowers, a stuffed animal. I could not believe I was there and that my dream was going to come true. What would I say to her? I had no idea. When she got to me, she took my hand in both of hers, looked directly at me, maintaining eye contact and smiled the biggest smile I'd ever seen. I said "I love you Stevie." and she nodded to me. Now she did not just let my hand go, she held on and squeezed. My friend, Jeff, said the blue stage light was shining on my face and I was in a trance. Her hand was the softest I've ever felt, tiny, and a little moist. She had medium length nails with pearl polish on them. As she moved to the last person, I touched her burnt red color boot and touched the hem of her jacket. You could tell the clothing was super expensive by the feel. We watched her two last songs from the bottom of the stage and then the lights came up and she was gone. Some drunk girl was boosted on stage by her boyfriend during Stevie's encore and a big security guy made her get down. What some people won't do. As I left the venue, I was walking on air. I had never expected in my life to share such a special moment with my idol. I think Stevie noticed my costume. She genuinely does appreciate her fans. My friend, Jeff, who had never seen her before was impressed with her rapport with the audience. I got home about 12:15 a.m. and had trouble falling asleep. I was thrilled to death and couldn't wait to tell everyone about my experience. I bought the tourbook, blue t-shirt with Stevie pointing and a keychain. I am totally broke until Friday.

My Dream came true, I will remember this night.

CONCERT STORIES=It was a perfect day, I was off and going to be driving to Starlake amputheater which is just outside Pittsburg PA. To see Stevie's Enchanted Tour which I am sure you are all aware of the way the story follows through parking and so forth right. But her we are hearing Stevies VOICE. Just Stevie no-one interrupts her and she was FABULOS. Dressed in her well known attire looking just as beautiful as we know her to be. I am sure you have all attained the
song list.

But as she started to sing White WingDove the sky starts to light up with streaks through the East side. And she is soul singing. Wow my ears just adore! and hearing that And of course it continued through "Whole Lotta Trouble." She does her legendary amount of encoures. And as the thunder crashs in the air and the lightening is striking she is singing. "Has anyone ever written anything for you". Light rain starts falling and she is thankning us for coming and staying to suport her Thank You.

And she is off to ride in her bus to take a stop in more towns all summer so if you haven't gone out to see this then you should at least spend $25 for lawn and the rest for gas and see Stevie Nicks with Boz SCAGGS.

CONCERT STORIES= Let me say that I had the BEST night of my life last night. I got lucky with my seats because someone was selling 9th row tickets online. With those in my hands my friend and I walked down to our REALLY close seats. I was dressed in this black dress with a ragged hemline. It sort of looked like the Rumours dress.

Anyway as soon as Stevie came out on to the stage the whole audience jumped up. I NEVER sat after that. I could make this really long but I "ll just say this...Stand Back was AWESOME ! She did this kick during it which reminded me of the old Stevie 1983 . Of course all the other songs she did rocked the house...but the best part was this... during Landslide people started going down to the stage. My friend and I busted down front. We were RIGHT at the stage I was hanging on to it...and Stevie was so close to us when she'd leave for clothing changes.

Anyway Edge of Seventeen started and I had my bouquet of flowers ready. She kept getting closer and closer to me...and then...she took my flowers and grabbed onto both my hands as she looked right at me...everything melted away and it was just us. I kept saying "I love you I love you" and then she had to continue on...and as she was touching the other fans I had to reach out and touch her leg and dress. It was so amazing.

Stevie is so incredibly gorgeous and I wish I could go to EVERY concert of hers. Erin

WHICH CONCERT=BOSTON

CONCERT STORIES:
After driving 3 1/2 hours to Great Woods from Maine, due to wonderful traffic problems. I finally made it at about 7 p.m.! Hooked up with some friends, got inside bought a t-shirt, found my seat (it was row 7 stage left). This seat was perfect and there were no seats in front of me directly. Great Woods is a horseshoe shape and the venue has about 10 seats in the front row and it graduates upwards from there. So for all purposes I had front row. Anyway a perfect seat for the rushing of the stage when The Edge of Seventeen starts!

Went out got myself a beer walked around for a few minutes to see if I could see anyone else I knew. I did see Stevie's brother roaming around......with his long ponytail! I did not know it was him! Bummer I would have struck up a conversation with him. Maybe got myself backstage, but now I am kind of glad I didn't, as you will read of later. It was a light rain kind of night with some fog, reminded me of the Fleetwood Mac show. Then the lights went down, back to my seat I was ready!!

Boz Scaggs was awesome.....but being 40 I do remember all his tunes and liked them then, as well as now. To the show that I paid $57.75 to see! The music started......out comes Stevie with a bouquet of flowers and walked over to the other side of the stage and pointed to a girl and gave her the flowers. Some guy tried to get her to give them to him.......not happenin' buddie!! She seemed to have a mission! She went back to the mike and started singing Outside the rain and the whole place was on its feet never to sit down again! This place was ready to welcome Stevie! And that is what she got. Outside the rain didn't even end and all of the sudden it was Dreams. She kept smiling and looking up at the sky at the "Thunder always happens when its raining" part of the song.......I don't think I ever remember seeing her smile like that during a song. She then said "Welcome........welcome to MY show!" Thanked us for coming and went right into Enchanted. After Enchanted she said she was so happy to be doing this type of show because SHE gets to pick out the songs SHE wants to sing. Some of the old songs that she has never ever been able to sing before. She said some of them we would know and some of us might not know them at all......"You must have blinked or something and missed them!" Went into Gold Dust Woman.....then started chatting with us again after the song......She said that if we read in the reviews tomorrow that she talked to much we wouldn't mind, and that she didn't care because this is her show! The crowd was going nuts!! I don't think I have ever heard her talk so much with the audience. She kept laughing and telling us how she really loves this and that we just don't know how great it is for her to be able to sing these songs for us.

She said because of the box set she can sing all of these songs and she won't ever be able to sing them ever ever again! If she only knew how long we have waited for her to sing these songs! Gold and Braid was fabulous.....she danced twirled a lot and just never kept still! Stop dragin' my heart around was good.....the guitar player couldn't get into it though.....she said after the song that she has been trying to get him to get into it more because it is song that a duo need to go back and forth with. She laughed and said that he was getting better. The Acoustic set was next and she told us that After the Glitter Fades was written when she was seventeen right after she moved to California, all those feelings of moving......It sounded awesome! Garbo was the next song and she said that it was written the day after the famous Buckingham-Nicks album cover shoot. She said that she felt like all those actresses and famous people you know the ones and the "Casting Couch" She just felt degraded and wondered how all the famous people dealt with it. "Like Garbo, Marlene, Marilyn & Me"

I was eating this up the stories right from Stevie!!!! When she hit that note in Garbo, when she is singing Marlene..........she went way back and low and held it so beautifully..........the crowd went wild and I could see her smiling!! I tell you she was having so much fun! She kept putting her head down and shaking it and telling us that this was so much fun and so great, to be able to sing these songs! At one point she said that if she was with Fleetwood Mac right now Lindsey would be right over there asking her what she thinks she is doing. She really needed this tour on her own, one that she could really remember........and enjoy! She was so relaxed.......she wasn't walking on eggshells........and was truly the STAR TONIGHT.....and having a blast! She did Rose Garden & Sleeping Angel they were also awesome........... Then the drums and synthesiser started for Stand Back........from the corner of my eye I saw people moving.........I was outta there.......it started early!!! I figured all that can happen is the big bouncer that was there would send me back.......He was so not paying attention, that by the time he saw us coming all he could do was jump up and look for HELP, grab is chair and get out of the way!!!!!!!!!! I didn't quite get center stage but to the right a bit........I could not believe I was this close!! Elbows on the stage and 10 feet away!

I can tell you the pictures in the people magazine are not airbrushed! This woman doesn't have a line on he face..........nothing! She is totally beautiful!! She was laughing at us all and telling us how great Boston is and it is funny how a girl from the West coast could be this popular on the East coast!! Can you imagine.......unpopular Stevie! I cannot tell you how relaxed and how much fun she seemed to be having! I have seen 2 Fleetwood Mac shows and a Stevie show back in the eighties, What a different Stevie! Rhiannon was great and said it is a song that she will never ever not be able to do live, and something else------I missed because the girl next to me kept talking to her friend and I couldn't hear Stevie...........Why do people go up front and carry on conversations during a concert? Talk to your friends after the show! She then tried talking to me........I told her I just wanted to watch the show. Whole lot of Trouble was great.......she played around with us in, pointing her finger and laughing, Landslide was next and she came up front and spoke to a girl........went back to the mike and said that she doesn't personally know any one in Boston, so this song was for Dawn. The girl that she gave the flowers to at the beginning of the show, or it looked like her. She kept telling us that she loves Boston and that she needs to get an apartment here because everyone loves her so much!! Twisted was awesome it started with thunder and lights flashing........really awesome and it had a great ending.

She left the stage and came out with a different dress on I noticed right away that she didn't have any rings on?! Yes, she was going to shake hands with us..........I really started to get freaked out now........I have my elbows on the stage!! She started stage Right and when she got to me she took my hand......it was so soft......(I etch pictures on polished granite......I have the driest, roughest hands on earth). She then got closer and put her hand under my chin, I haven't decided whether she wanted a closer look, or if she was trying to shut my mouth..........she then said "Your beautiful, thanks for coming".........Now being a woman of 40.........I felt like I was 5 or something....I mean really, I have met people like Robert Plant, Jakob Dylan, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlin, Denzel Washington, Kevin Costner, I have even met Christine McVie, had conversations with them!!....all I could say was Thank-you Stevie..........well, DUH. I have loved this woman's voice and music since Buckingham-Nicks. My knees were shaking, I was totally dumbfounded. I did manage to hand her a yellow rose from my buddie Kelly, who could not get down front. This was the greatest!!! I got some pretty good pictures, (I do need a better scanner though)***Click here for the pics*** the girl next to me kept hitting me.....and if it wasn't her it was Stevie dancing around!! But not bad I have attached a couple. Stevie got to the end of the stage and took a little girl out of the audience and was holding her while she finished singing Edge.......but the little girl was afraid and Stevie kept kissing her and telling her it was okay and she would take her back.........she really felt bad about it all. Has anyone Ever was the last song as you all know and it was beautiful........as usual.........some bozo got on stage and was running towards Stevie, and the bass player cleaned him out! Knocked him right on the floor.........Stevie was waving for the bass player "Lets get going" She wanted off that stage.........before anyone else made the plunge!...........She told us to all take care because she wants to do this again!

It was an evening I will never forget..... I know this was long but for anyone not yet going........do what you can to be there & up front.......this is a new Stevie.......and she is incredible!!!

(CONCERT STORIES) Hello Stevie fans everywhere! I put that I liked Stevie with FWM on the form better, just b/c I love to see her sing her heart out to Lindsey, and I know how meaningful those moments are for her.. it's more than she will probably ever say to him in real life... But I love her solo also...She's so energetic and personable.

Anyway, back to the concert, I attended the Stevie concert at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ on June 13... I was amazed at how much energy was flowing that rainy night! Stevie was wonderful and beautiful as always, and she really had a great time... She kept saying, "This is so much fun!" She performed all the songs in the set perfectly... It sounded just like you were listening to a CD... she was perfect! Her costumes were gorgeous! I thought this would be my one and only Stevie concert for this tour, but last minute, my friend and I decided we wanted to go to see her at Radio City! Luckily, I found two tickets for sale in one of the newsgroups... they were great seats at a great price! I always knew Stevie could generate a lot of energy at her concerts, and I already saw her do so at PNC... I had no idea that the concert that I saw at Radio City was going to change my feelings for Stevie forever...

After seeing her at Radio City, I have come to love and admire her even more... I think this was Stevie's best concert ever. My eyes swelled with tears when she came out... and of course also when she sang "Landslide." What was really cool was that she added all those awesome endings to songs that you don't get to hear on the CDs... She explained and talked more than she did at PNC which was awesome!!!!! I wish you all could have been there to hear and see her! I wish everyone could have heard "Rhiannon." It was the best version that I have ever heard, and I have acouple versions at home... Picture The Dance version beautifully mixed with the version that is on FWM Live (1980)... it was one of those psycho-endings... She said at the end, "Well, there's Rhiannon '98, what can I say?" The crowd went wild! When "Stand Back started, I don't think I have ever seen so many people jump up and screamm all at once as they all did at this concert!! She was just unreal... I hope ! ! she releases a live cd from this concert... and a video, that would be awesome!! I wish I could describe all of my feelings, but it is so hard to... this concert is just something you have to experience... To those of who are are going to one of her concerts, I wish you all "enchanted" evenings....

"Keep yourselves healthy so we can do this at least one more time" (Stevie NYC, 6/17/98).

Thank you! Love and Dreams, ~Lauren~ (a Sister of the Moon)
