Kliewe Family Highlights for 1998
<1997 1999>
- January
- On New Year's Day, the waitress at Friendly's spills a whole glass of Diet Coke on Harry.
- February
- Sammy and Harry visit the stream behind Grandma and Grandpa's house. Sammy falls in.
- March
- Good month. Kids stay dry.
- April
- After living here for eight years, we finally make it to the annual Hazardous Waste Recycling Day.
- May
- Picnic at the Bronx Zoo. First day of Little League. Trip to Howe Caverns.
Norman Rockwell, eat your heart out.
- June
- Sammy's last game of the season. What he'll really miss are the post-game trips to Dairy Queen.
- July
- Mommy and Daddy see Tom Jones in concert. (And yes, ladies, in case you're wondering, he's still got it.)
- August
- Kids very excited to be visiting Martha's Vineyard on the same day that President Clinton is there. They are a little surprised that he won't be joining us for dinner.
- September
- We attend the Open House at Sammy's new school and accidentally spill a cup of coffee on our State Senator (see January).
- October
- Sammy starts swimming lessons at the Y. His favorite part is the Dunkin Donuts afterwards. Meanwhile, back at home, Harry has begun his nude phase.
- November
- Thanks to negative campaign ads on TV, both Harry and Sammy are now able to identify Al D'Amato and Chuck Schumer on sight.
- December
- Typical conversation at home :
