André Drummond was born in February, 8th 1972. He started playing the drums at the age of 11, influenced by his father, musician Cidônio Moreira Cardoso. In spite of his low age, he managed to play songs without any problem, as many people around him used to comment.
Six years later, he gave his first steps to become a professional musician. He took part in bands, playing gigs at clubs and theatres in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
He considers Dennis Chambers and Manu Katche as members of a special group of creative drummers. He also admires the musicianship of John "Bonzo" Bonham, Neil Peart and Carlos "Bala"Gomes.
Nowadays,  he is the drummer of progressive rock Equinócio. There, he expects to develop his musicianship, taking part in a creative work.
