Garry's background is in painting, photography, art history and curatorial work, formalized in an honours BA in art history and masters in Canadian Studies. His love for gardening also extends back to childhood. And water is second nature (he is a Pisces)!

The two of us, however, really have very different views of garden design (Garry leans to the ordered Japanese Garden, and I to replicating the unhindered growth of a natural landscape. When we combine our views - well, pictures speak louder than words, don't they!

Although he started out as a painter, photographs gradually worked their way onto his canvases. These days, given the time constraints his job imposes, his creative side is exclusively in photography.The first photo here is taken in the forest close to Ottawa; the second, in London, England. Both are 8x10 colour format.
