Aliens Saviours

Aliens returned to Earth to "call up" a few thousand chosen families to save them from the impending nova blast (intense microwave flare really, though it was called a nova in the dream) from the sun that was going to cook the Earth medium-well. Those that got the telepathic message had to quietly make their way to specified pickup zones and they could choose to bring 2 other non-chosen folk (presumably missed family members). I was one of the ones contacted (would be a weird dream if not) and so were my wife/daughter, but not our adopted son. We were supposed to go to Colorado for the meeting place. Decided to take son and a good friend too though it was hard to get in touch with her in the commotion (supposed to meet at that cool mall [below], the chaotic throngs were making it hard to pick her out of the crowd and we soon had to leave to make the pickup).

Some nice mall like building in Colorado, everyone was separated during the commotion. Earlier I remember standing watching people on the couple levels (4-5 level mall) below feeling sad that they had no idea what was happening to them - kinda like lab rats in a way.

Trouble started when the media and government found out about the whole thing. There was a general panic, many people "faking" being telepathically contacted and much chaotic work trying to dig shelters, find out who was contacted and trying to get the "saved" to take others along, etc. There was even a point where I was watching a tv in some store window with the local "Action News" team out in the streets, one woman they interviewed was delusional and hysterical saying she was one of the "chosen" that recieved the telepathic message...somehow those that recieved the message knew another that recieved it just glancing at them and it was obvious to me she was delusional.

In the end we watched from the alien baseship which was in orbit around Jupiter as the Sun flared up.
