Takuya Enoki is a fifth grade student. Since his mother died two months ago in a car accident, he has to take care of his two year old brother Minoru Enoki. Takuya wants to have fun just like all his friends, but after school he has to go and pick up his brother. He feels that all his time has been taken up by Minoru.
After returning home, Takuya works on his homework while taking care of Minoru. After he has put Minoru to sleep, he has to wash the clothes, clean up and prepare meals... Takuya deels that his life is not fair, because these are not his responsibilities! While Takuya is clueless on what to do when Minoru would not stop crying, the neighbor came and scolded by their next door neighbor.
Takuya was bringing Minoru to the station to wait for their father to come home when he had an idea of leaving Minoru behind... leaving this burden behind...When Takuya realize that Minoru is away from him, he found out that Minoru is being target by a dog. Takuya ran as quick as he can to Minoru's rescue.
At this time Takuya found out that Minoru was calling Oniichan... If Takuya is not there, Minoru is helpless. Takuya promise that he will never let Minoru be alone again, no matter what will happen they will never separate.
