Notes on the booklist
With the help and advice of many people over the years, I have compiled an extensive list of books useful to homesteaders, small farmers, and owner/builders. I currently have nearly 400 titles in the list.
Recently
I have become a Barnes and Noble Affiliate Bookstore. This allows me to link from my site to theirs. The advantage to you is that you can use the compiled booklist as a gateway to an easy, on-line way to buy your homesteading books from a well-known and reputable bookseller.
Due to my association with Barnes and Noble I am not allowed to mention other bookselling web sites on the same pages where I link to their site. Since MANY of the most useful homesteading books have been out of print for years, your best source for these books is from one of the many secondhand bookstores. Barnes and Noble does link to some fine second hand booksellers; however, in all honesty, I must say that these may not be your best source for some of these books. There are links on the following pages to the Barnes and Noble Out of Print Search Page for titles which I know to be out of print, and please do not hesitate to use those links if you so choose. But you may also want to check out some of your alternatives on my Resources page as well
Now, on to the booklists:.

These pages are all about small farms, rural living, cottage

processing, livestock, raising your own food, being self-sufficient, alternative
