Under the direction of the Holy Spirit and the leadership of our Pastor, Rev. William D. Watley, this ministry is a source of enrichment and enlightment for the men of St. James and the community at large.

Under the auspices of the Men's Ministry, the St. James Men's Club sponsored both their annual breakfast and a scholarship luncheon, which benefit St. James Prep. Headed by Lucius Riley, they also provide financial support for youth attending the Christian Educational Congress. The Big Brother Breakfast is geared to providing an opportunity for our men to mentor the young males of the church and community.

The Network of Christian Men , headed by Ike Thomas, is a collaboration of men from St. James and other churches in the greater Newark community. They hold quarterly worship services, teach adults to read, hold seminars on financial planning and provide free health screening.

The Men's Ministry looks to expand in an effort to better meet the needs of our men. A mentoring program and a single men's ministry are on the horizon as we continue to Grow for Gods's Glory .
