It'll look nice on my car.Friday February 5, 1999Happy Birthday Madelaine! Okay, time to get things on the move again. I have scheduled my next meeting with my "general manager" for next week and now I'll start filling this site out a little more.Wednesday February 10, 1999Met with Paul and we talked about getting this project rolling! Plans changed somewhat. I was going to build a one car garage, but now it'll be 1 1/2, so there will be a workroom in the garage. And it will be 1 1/2 stories, the top half being for storage. We will be incorporating passive solar heating ideas, in fact anything we can think of will be included in this garage. It'll be a "demo" of a lot that is possible. We'll also include a small wood stove to heat the thing in the winter and who knows what else we will come up with.I'll be posting the cost of the project as the money gets spent. This is out of my pocketbook and so we will be also looking to buy experienced supplies before the, um, unexperienced materials. I want to keep this as inexpensive as possible so that people can see the possibilities. May 15 or 16 is the anticipated build. As we progress, we will provide detailed information about the schedule of events. Here is the current weather forcast for edmonton Edmonton and for the year round temperatures. The first of May should be perfect. It won't rain. (Me, later: ya right.) March and April, 1999Meetings, plans, ideas and other stuff, to come. |
