The exterior of the tavern, like a chameleon, always looks different
depending on where it is. Upon entering the dimly lit interior, a large fireplace
can be seen to the left, and to the right can be seen a long bar, bracketed by
ascending spiral staircases which lead to a gallery above the bar. Tall stools are
arrayed along the bar. Over the bar is a large battered battle axe, and behind the bar, a swinging door can be seen which appears to lead to a kitchen area.
Tables of various shapes and sizes are scattered around a large oval area in the
center of the room. Each table has a small candle lamp in the center
There are dimly glowing globes of light at long intervals along the walls that cast a dim, misty light.
The size of the Tavern is difficult to discern, because of the deep shifting shadows wreathing the edges of the room. The tables in those areas seem to shift, appear and disappear. Occasionally, doors seem to become vaguely visible in the shadows, and then fade as the light flickers.
Small 3ft to 4 ft. gremlins can be seen scurrying to and fro amongst the tables, and back and forth from the kitchen. A larger gremlin is behind the bar, and there is a large, hirsute,alert-looking,musclebound creature, with pointed ears and sharp-toothed grin stationed at each of the spiral staircases.
