A Family History

Introduction

I have called this The Family Rainforest because of the comparison between a family and a rainforest. We all start as insignificant seeds, grow and strive to reach the light of wisdom so we can stand tall and make our mark in the forest of human kind. And we provide food and shelter for those beneath our canopy of care.

If a family's environment is destroyed by war, famine, disease or tempestuous weather, the people who make up the family are adversely affected, or die off ... just like the growth in a rainforest.

If left to grow unhindered, The Family Rainforest flourishes and is supported by the inner strength of the family unit.

In the pages which follow are many branches of the Gray family & associated families, going back as far as possible towards our roots, the earliest ancestors to be found on reliable record thus far.

I suggest you begin by browsing the surnames of all of associated families. You can then select and jump to individual records within that family and also view a three generation pedigree chart if you wish, which in most cases links to earlier generations.
