Punahou Rangers !!!

The Best Led, Most Highly Trained, Highly Motivated and Deadly INFANTRY FORCE in the world!

Hi I'm baby_grunt. aka c/SSG eric. The Punahou Ranger team consist of 12 highly motivated, super dedicated, no slack son of a bitches!! we may only be high school students, some of us maybe unrespected walked-all-over freshmens, but that does not mean we can't conquer such tasks as a 1 mile swim, rapelling, first aid application tests, day/night land/urban orienteering, casualty carries, rope bridging, water rescue, rifle shooting, army physical fitness test, army officers barking orders, but most important of all : being able to conquer you fears of imcompentacy and physical limits.
The Battalion created this unit in order to teach its cadets basic skills in small unit patrolling and to bring together individuals desiring to represent the school in the Ranger Challange competitions. Throughout the years the unit has maintained its standards. Stressing physical fitness, leadership, academic excellence, and military bearing the unit has forged ahead in recent years.

here is a brief summary of what rangers do by Ranger Commander cadet Jane Taylor (October 1997)

"Within the battalion there is a small tight-knit group of cadets, highly motivated, highly competent. There is nothing outwardly special about them, typical students in search of some fun. And yet, they stand out-their heads are held high, and an air of confidence surrounds them. When it comes time for a uniform drill these students, with different faces, personalities, and goals in life all don a black beret. Upon their shoulder hangs a black cord. Who are these highly motivated cadets ? They are members of the Punahou Ranger Detachment.
They train on Saturdays. Push-ups and sit-ups are included in P.T. Road runs and swims are included in the cirriculum as well, to build mental and physical endurance. Skill, such as rope bridging, rappeling, first aid, and land navigation are taught and perfected-all in preparation for two grueling days designed to push one's limit. The Ranger Challenge is what they train for !!
