Dateline 4-10-00    There was an altercation in which I was arrested.  I cannot give many details right now as I have charges pending.  As of right now, the hearings are scheduled for May 15th, 2000,; in Fayette County Magistrate Court.  I will release more information as I am able.

Well now we finally have a name to go with those late night meetings at the Dairy Queen, Ricky.  How does Margaret ****** grab you?  She seems much TOO YOUNG to be married.  I thought you stuck to married women only. Well, she might be married, I guess.   You know, the kind that don't kiss and tell.  Your playing with fire with that one. If only her daddy knew..............or does he? Does your wife know?

Well, it appears that there is an AWFUL lot of speculation on just exactly when and where I am doing my web page updates from.  This information comes to me via a county police department (Not Fayette County either) which shall remain unnamed.  It appears that they have been told that members of OHPD are trying to find this information out in an attempt to possibly have my employment threatened.  Let me state this for the masses (and those who come back daily to check up) that when I am working for my employer that I do work.  It is really an amazing concept to some interested parties, I realize but, yes, I do clock in and work.  I am sure that the concept would simply amaze some members of the OHPD. Work 40, get paid for 40. Not show up for work and get paid for non-work.  (Just for your information, I do believe that the city may have settled a lawsuit filed in Fayette County Courts some time ago by the officers of OHPD for overtime pay......another one of those "Go Figure" things.) I don't do these updates while I am working.  I don't update my web pages from my work place, but I invite you to check if you would like.  Do you think that the OHPD offices would be open to such inspection.  I doubt it.  Much too much to hide in my opinion. By the way.....  Happy Saint Patrick's Day! Also be sure and check the "Your Thoughts" page out.  Very inquisitive writer asks "Who is that woman?".

I have been informed that the story about Officer Akers that was told to me by Officer Edward's wife, Nancy, may not have been entirely true. Apparently, according to sources, Edwards was going around using the name of Rick Akers. Again, apparently yet another officer was going around using the name of Edwards.  Sources tell me that Officer Edwards' wife, Nancy, may have become confused as with the number of similar stories going around. (Anybody have a program guide?)   Sources say, and I quote,  "I really don't expect Edwards wife to know the true stories if ya know what I mean. He has lied to her so much already what would a couple more hurt.".....

Well not a whole lot new items to report other than Fred and Ernie are still spreading TOTALLY FABRICATED LIES about what really took place.  As I have said before, I played the game, by their rules. I knew from the beginning that nothing would be done about my complaint.  Ask Fred, if he will tell the truth he will tell you that I said that from the beginning.  There are simply too many people involved that would allow a fair hearing of the evidence.  That is another thing.  Ernie says "no evidence". It was all right there in front of his face. Signed "confession" on police department letter head. My "perfectly legal" audio tape that they didn't want to hear.  The city hired an attorney at the beginning of this thing to represent themselves in this matter.  Phil Tissue declined as he also represented Ricky in some other matters and it would be a conflict of interest.  Jamie Blankenship (I think that is his name) is the one that they hired to "protect the city's interest" in the case against Ricky. He showed up for one hearing only. The first one.  After that he was never at any of the rest of them.  When I asked what happened to the attorney, Fred said " I don't know" and that was the end of that. If you think he was really interested in seeing this thing through the correct way, he would have had the city's attorney present. This has been going on since the fall of 1998.  They twist and outright lie about what really took place. Isn't there a punishment for perjury?  I think that they do this to try and cover up (however blatant) their deeds. If any members of the city council would like to "rehash" this with ALL parties involved in one room I would be more than willing to do so. That way everyone knows what everyone else is saying.  Lying to city council to cover up for an inept police department will generally come back to haunt you later....... Making up stuff like "they weren't even married at the time" is pure bull.  And even if we weren't married (which we were Ernie), does this give Ricky the right to "glove up" and take a sex break when the urge hits him. I think not. Fred said he has been trying to "get rid of him" since '95. How was that said to me now......."embarrassment to the city.....".  Yes he is. As well as others.  Sure I am going to take heat for this page.  It was expected.  But all of the slurs, etc. still does not take away from the fact that this guy was having sex while on duty. Everyone has seen the "Drug Free School Zone" signs up at the schools.  Should we also have to start putting up "Sex Free School Zone" signs also? He would probably take it as FREE SEX and continue doing what he is doing.  Watch closely.  You will see how blatant it is. Last I heard, condoms were not standard issue equipment for the police department.    I have received so much email that goes into all sorts of directions about who is doing what and with whom. I am talking some very well known people in our fine little town.  I have edited this out of public view for now. If you don't like the page or the content of what I am putting up here, all I can tell you is not to come back then.  Most people would want to know what the city is paying for.  I can remember complaints about police coverage being inadequate in the city. Does anyone wonder why? I don't anymore. Anyone ever hear of stories of tickets getting fixed in exchange for sex?  I have. Lots n lots of them lately. Sure others have done, are doing, and will continue to act this way.  Don't miss the point of the page ( a lot of you have I'm afraid). Don't dismiss it as just "another angry husband" thing.  This affects EVERYONE in this town.  I sincerely hope that it will not affect your lives the way it has affected mine and my family. It may one day.  Sure I am angry.  I do have a lot of issues to deal with.  This kind of thing should not be one of them.  It shows a DEFINITE need for independent review boards of police.  They protect their own.  Hey, the guy he is covering for may just be doing the same for him.  It is a very poor time indeed when a city allows this type of officer to continue to be employed. Opportunities abound for these type of lowlife officers to perpetuate the destructive behavior and not have to answer to anyone other than someone he or she may or may not be covering for.  Think about it.  Like I said my story could turn into your story too at any time.

New additions to the "Your Thoughts" page. Again thank you for your support. BTW, I just wanted to let you know that yes I know there are several rumors floating around and I would like to state, for the record, No I don't beat my wife and (this is a good one) I did not run off with some woman I met on the net and lived with her for months. LOL. This is just too funny.!

Well I find it utterly amazing that no one from the city council or police department have asked me to remove my page. Guess I will have to wait on my summons.  Looks like I won't be able to make it totally interactive as there is a tremendous amount of vulgar messages people want me to post.  Sorry, but I want to keep it as clean as possible. I will keep searching for something to use that will filter the vulgar stuff. I have had a suggestion for live chat...................

WE ARE GOING INTERACTIVE!  That's right! Hopefully by this week end I will have in place a sounding board. Good or bad we want to see your comments! Just keep the language clean as this page is viewed by several people of many different ages. Will have to look around for the appropriate vessel to try to keep the foul language to a minimum.  In the meantime, please leave your comments on the "Your Thoughts" page. Thanks.

Well sorry guys. Audio has to be put on hold while a few legal situations are cleared up and I still hope to be able to put clips of the actual audio online. I don't think that a transcription will truly do Officer Edwards the justice his speech of admission deserves.  The response to my story has been phenomenal! Thanks to all of you for your support and wanting to contribute to the page. I may take up a few of them and post them here too. I will keep the page updated with any new information coming out of this. Should start to heat up pretty good this coming week.   Give me an A! Give me a C! Give me an L! Give me a U! What does that spell?!  ACLU! Rah! Rah! Rah!

Fred says he is in contact with a lawyer to sue me for slander and several (unnamed at this time) other  things.  Asks where am I doing the web page updates from!  He did not elaborate if it was the city, the police department or individuals wanting to sue. Stay tuned! Looks like the railroad is firing up it's engine! CHOO-CHOO! By the way, THANKS FOR GETTING THIS OUT! As I am doing some minor typo corrections to the page the counter is well on it way to 1100 hits! THANK YOU THANK YOU! The story needs to be told and the more people that know it the better!

Barbara Hickman called me today and wanted to tell me her side of the story as she felt that I was not giving her a fair shake.  She went on to say that it was Fred Dickinson's decision not to terminate Rick Edwards for his misconduct.  She also said that she told Fred that she wanted him "out of here". As I did not set in on this meeting I must give her the benefit of the doubt that she voted to oust the troublesome officer. We discussed the lack of follow through on the part of Fred Dickinson in keeping me informed of the situation. HEY FRED I STILL NEED IT IN WRITING!  She also stated that she was unaware of the fact that during suspension time the officers are given the opportunity to use their vacation time so they don't lose any money. (i.e. PAID VACATION) OH YEAH! Forgot this earlier. She, and I quote, "understands the reasons why you are publishing this web page and I don't blame you a bit."

I have lots of feedback on the information that I am posting here. Most of it very supportive and for this I thank you. Let me state this.....I do not condone the actions of my wife, Jenette, nor Rick Edwards.  I am not trying to lessen the roll that my wife played in this.  What I am trying to point out is the lack of discipline in the Oak Hill Police Department and city government in controlling its employees.  The actions taken and the end result is basically that the city and Fred Dickinson and the "Board of Peers", and Oak Hill Civil Service Commission in a sense does nothing but condone the behavior.  It was not right by any means.  I feel that I was the one who was not given the "Fair Shake". I know of no other employer that would allow such conduct to go unpunished. If I were carrying on a sexual affair with someone while I was supposed to be working there would be no doubt that I would be searching for another employer as soon as it was found out.  Police officers should be no different.  All I asked for was for fair and just punishment for the deeds done...All I got was the run around and double talk.  I also hate the hush-hush way that it was handled.  Like it was a big secret.  People of Oak Hill should know what they are paying for.......(use your imagination here).  Fred Dickinson, to my understanding, still has the right to appeal the decision of the Oak Hill Civil Service Commission.  He told me this the day I called him and found out that the board had decided to dismiss the charges.  He also stated that he was not going to do this.  In other words, he is still not going to do the right thing.  Heck, write him a citation for littering when he disposed of his little nasties on the school playground.  But hey, I told Fred from the beginning what the end result would be.  He gets out of it, period.

I am very seriously contemplating putting a little audio clip of the officer in question on this web page this weekend.  This would be the audio tape that the board of peers nor the Oak Hill Civil Service commission wanted to hear.  As I have stated before, several members of the city council have heard this already.  And since it didn't do any good to keep it for the  pre-determined hearings, maybe you would like to hear it. We will see.  Please stay tuned........
