COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

The 10KM route starts in a residential area of Kailua, 

passes Kawainui Marsh Regional Park, (click on picture)

Ulu Po Heiau,       

through Kailua town center, 

and Kailua Beach Park 

 

 to the scenic lookout at Aala Point       

 and returns to the start. Not suitable for wheelchairs. Rating is 1 +.


START/FINI5H: Castle Medical Center, 640 Ulukahiki (corner of Pali Hwy), Kailua, Hi (808) 263-5500. Information desk in the Main Lobby.

START/FINISH TIMES: Walk anytime during daylight hours.

CONTROL POINT: Name the "old fashioned" market at the entrance to Kailua Beach Park.

REGISTRATION: Pick up the start envelope,map & route directions at the information desk in the Main Lobby of Castle Medical Center.

AMENITIES: Water and bathrooms are located at the three sections of Kailua Beach Park.

Directions:


Take THE BUS (The city bus system of Honolulu): Bus numbers 56 and 57 from Ala Moana Center or Downtown Honolulu stop right across from the Castle Medical Center.

Driving:

If coming from Waikiki, take H1(West) to exit#21A(Pali Hwy). Get on Pali Hwy(61 )to windward Oahu. At intersection of Pali Hlghway (61)and Kalanianaole Hwy(72), turn left onto 640 Ulukahiki and proceed to main lobby.

If coming from Leeward Oahu, take Likelike(63) or Pali Hwy(61)to the Windward side. From Likelike take Kamehameha Hwy(83)to Pali Hwy(61 ) and turn left towards Kailua. At intersection of Pali Hwy and Kalanianaole Hwy(72), turn left onto 640 Ulukahiki and proceed to main lobby.
