COURSE DESCRIPTION: The 10 KM route meanders through Waikiki, along Diamond Head
and through the Kahala residential area.
Wheelchair users may encounter difficulty due to hill. Suitable for baby
strollers. Rating is 1+.
START/FINISH: The New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, Travel Desk. The hotel is
located next to Sans Souci State Recreation Area across from Kapiolani Park. (Click
here to go to a map of the start point.)
START/FINISH TIMES: The YRE may be walked any time from dawn to dusk.
REGISTRATION: Pick up the start envelope, map and directions at the Travel Desk.
CONTROL POINT: Name the school located on Palekaua Street.
A M E N I T I E S: Water and bathrooms are located at Kapiolani Park. Water is
also available at the Fort Ruger Park and at the Diamond Head Beach Park.
Parking is free on Kalakaua Avenue and at the Natatorium War Memorial parking
area. Metered parking along Kapiolani Park.

TO GET TO THE WALK:
Directions to the new Otani Kaimana Beach Hoel: on the right side of Kalakaua
Avenue as you head towards Diamond Head, between San Souci State Recreation Area
and the Colony Staff Hotel.
Take the Bus: Bus#2(Waikiki/KapiolaniPark)stops just before the hotel.
