World of Running
During my 1995-1996 Cross Country season, I had an excellent coach named Jad Daley. Jad was a runner himself and he entered New York Marathon many times, finishing 124th out of twenty thousand runners. During the season Jad ran with us everyday in practices and taught us how to work as a team. He was admired by each one of us and we all hated him for leaving the team to pursue his career after coaching us for only one year. Before the Season began, Jad wrote this summer training program which helped us to be the FSL Champions, DISC Champions, and State Runner Up, so take your time and read this. I am confident that you will find some value in this program.
Andrew's Favorite Running Quotes
Very often I find myself repeating these quotes when I run. When I hear "pain is temporary, but pride lasts forever" at the last 200 meters of a race, inspiration rises within me and a new door opens up. Many times I've thought running is stupid and there is no point to it, but when I hear these quotes it brings me back to being an athlete. After repeating these for a while, I believe that they become part of you and I am sure that they will carry will carry you through hard practices. I think these quotes will help mature athletes into more dedicated and enjoyable competitors.
