1998 Stanley Cup Finals

Detroit Red Wings vs. Washington Capitals

IT'S CUP TIME!

CUP STAYS HOME!

"WE'RE TAKING OUR CUP AND WE'RE GOING HOME!" I loved that sign at the MCI Center on June 16, 1998! Talking about the Wing's second Stanley Cup victory in as many years still brings tears to my eyes. 96.3 FM (WPLT) keeps playing the clip of the NHL Commissioner saying, "Steve Yzerman, let's do it again, come get the Stanley Cup!" It gives me chills! Vladdie's presence was unbelievable and the class and humility showed by Conn Smythe winner, Steve Yzerman, and the rest of the team makes me so proud to be a Detroiter! See you at the parade! GO WINGS! WE LOVE YOU VLADDIE & SERGEI!

Did you hear?? Odds-makers in Las Vegas have the Red Wings as 7-2 favorites to 3-peat! I can't wait for the next season!
