Buffalo NY - November 18, 2000
Beer Trip stopping at Premier Gourmet and Empire Brewing Co. Very cool!
Octoberfest - Waterloo, October 14th 2000
Octoberfest @ The Rec Centre. Mmmm Pita Pit for dinner baby! The festing was pretty cool. I had never been before and I had a good time. Drinks were pretty expensive.. I'm disappointed that Brick's beers were more than the Molson Canadian... Oh well. The band was decent, and I got one of the cool souvenir miniature mugs. Extremely late night run to McD's and watched some of American Pie. Thanks to M,L&C for letting us crash at their place!

Didn't actually make it to the Jazz Festival. Hit Weavers Pub Friday night, went to see X-Men on Saturday. Watched a bunch of videos.. Multiple Pita Pit visits...

Oh yeah keep the pizza out here, we like Dan enough not to try and kill him.... Mmmm bagel bites... Mmmmm more chocolate chips.. Stephane the drunken chocolate imp... Lets shave some heads.
NaidooFest - June 23-25, 2000 Kingston
Everyone does their very best Ryan Naidoo impressions. (Well probably not.) Nobody does Naidoo like Nay-doo. Nooobody! Ryan invited a bunch of people up for the weekend. After some interesting driving skills by Amarelo and Craigs ( we later found out that its astrologically required), we met up with the rest of the Missi crew in Kingston. Hit The Brass and Stages Friday night. Saturday included many a trip to the convenience store next door, some Euro 2000 soccer. (Portugal dominating some silly country... DOMINATING...) some 24 hour breakfast served by quite the interesting waitress. Fried up some Bison meat for dinner and headed out once again. Mmm Pita Pit... Mmmm... Sunday Chris and I discovered Ryan's porn. Ryan denied having seen one particular picture. Cartoon animals... Nuff said...
Waterloo - Shawn Hodgson's B-Day June 3/4 2000
Geoff and I headed out the 401 for a wee celebration. Got mildly lost... Well, not lost per se, more like we took a less than efficient route. Cracked open the homebrew proving that the third one really tastes quite yummy. Domino! Groovin to DJ A-Bot's MP3s, Taxi to the Rev (There were people there this time!)and some dancing. Jer fully enjoyed his first club since New Years. Walking home was quick.. It always is. Breakfast at The Barn was interesting. Geoff should never get shotgun when the backseat has headroom issues... The inflatable couch just refuses to inflate...
Horseshoe Valley - May 2-4 at Bretty's Chalet, 2000
A very interesting weekend. The fun ranged from Killer Kings to sugar junkies and cleanliness
wars. (I took 5 rolls of film, and have about 50 keepers, and some ok leavers too).
Hilton Falls - Last Summer?
I just got a bunch of black and white pictures developed the other day, and these were among them. It's from when the Italian exchange students were here... when the heck was that?
Kingston - Ottawa - February 16-20, 2000
Left my place around noon and headed for Kingston. After a quick gas stop in Napanee I made my way to Brett's. Much hilarity ensued, including a round of "I Never" with Veera and Brett, and Jer got to change his first flat tire. Other firsts included buying a tooth brush (I always got them from the Dentist or raided the medicine cabinet) and having a burger from Licks. Brett insured that I will never cook for her, by preparing some rather yummy pasta :) Gill revealed an odd obsession with hot hot robot sex.
I arrived in Ottawa mid-afternoon. After some McD's I located our bed & breakfast - it was right on the Rideau Canal - and headed out exploring. I gave up trying to find my way around Hull and hit the Clocktower Brewpub. My uncles wedding was a small affair, but very enjoyable.
I had the HUGEST chicken breast I have ever seen at the reception, which was quite yummy. The reception was held at a restaurant where Clinton and Chretien ate. It was pretty cool. I'm too lazy to get any more detailed then this right now, I'll try and get some pics up soon.
Parry Sound {An Andrew McGillis Joint} - January 5, 2000
Gill graciously hosted a bunch of us at his cottage. It was my first time up and frankly I'm bitter that I missed the previous outings. It is a very nice cottage and a good time was had by all. Some card games and chit chat preceded something I like to call Suibogganing. One of the hills was pretty icy which is cool except for the sand at the bottom of the hill... Yeah...
Things I learned: Always watch the gas gauge so you can pick when to get gas. Where Coldwater Ontario is. How James Amarello writes his name, always dotting the I. No matter how reasonable he sounds at the time, never ever listen to Rob Ton. If it hurts the first time, it still hurts the second time.
Millenium Madness - Waterloo, December 31, 1999
Matt Blevins and Mel Tait joined me in trekking up to Waterloo for New Years Eve. We partied at Shawn Hodgson's house before heading to Loose Change Louies. I wasn't all that keen on the Louie's idea at first but it was a blast. Lots of dancing... Some confetti in my drink but hey! Cuz baby I got your money. |
