Senior Dinner and Dance (SDD) during 1 December 1999 was our last major project for the year, thus explaining our enthusiasm and unconcealed excitement in preparing for 'The Big Day' -- not for us but our beloved seniors.

The theme for this year's SDD was Starry Starry Nite, hence most of our designs revolved around the idea of stars and shiny glitter. Indeed, our three-piece backdrop consisted of more than a hundred stars cut of of black paper and sprinkled with silver glitter, and also a night-scene skillfully depicted on canvas.

The Year Twos were treated to a delightful performance by the Flying Dutchman (of Class 95) and two dances put by by the Council. The most entertaining part of the program, though, was probably the Pageant. Five couples from various faculties sang duets and danced away as they competed against each other to win the title of the Prom King and Queen.

SDD ended at 2 a.m. the next morning. As the Year Twos left for the night, it was evident from their faces that they had enjoyed the SDD immensely...
