DEPARTURES ARRIVALS FINAL APPROACH PARKING STANDS

Eurodirect Airlines is based in terminal 1 (West). Schengen Flights use Satellite A (most southerly), while Non-Schengen flights use Satellite B.

Before deciding which Runway to use, keep in mind the Runway Partition. Also remember that Runway 17L/R are used for landings only when strictly necessary due to weather conditions, and they can be used for takeoffs only by request depending on traffic situation.

When using RWY 35L for takeoffs, keep in mind that only wide bodied heavy planes use the cargo apron taxiway to reach the extreme runway threshold, while other planes normally use the inner taxiway that takes to A, as seen in the map here below.

The taxiway between the two runways is "one way" North-South, when Runway 35 in use (most of times).

STANDARD INDEPENDENT DEPARTURES-SID

As said before, departures are divided into those going to "West" or "East". West includes those heading to France or the Thyrrenian sea, while East means those flights heading to North Eastern Italy, Austria and the Adritic Sea. The waypoints LINKED REPRESENT the initial point for SID Transitions, which are the links destinations.

RUNWAY 35L INITIAL CLIMB:

WEST FARAK 5D At D4 MAL (111.20) turn LEFT to 243° to RMG (337), MAX IAS 230KT. At D12 MAL turn RIGHT to 149° towards FARAK. Cross D5 MAL MNM 3000, D12 MAL MNM 5000.

STANDARD ARRIVAL ROUTES-STAR

As said before the two runways are used without distinction, so as to reduce separation. Keep in mind that, when visibility doesn't require Runway 35R's CAT IIIB Ils, heavy planes are normally directed to Runway 35L, whose manouever doesn't require to overfly the city of Lonate Pozzolo.

Malpensa's entry points are ODINA (located on SRN R159), MARCO (located on SRN R242), LUSIL (located on SRN R242, D52) and OSKOR (on R270/D46 SRN) for planes coming from NORTH and NORTHEAST.

PARKING STANDS

Parking stands follow the satellite names, and are thus called A, B or C, depending on the satellite they serve (satellite C is not ready, but the stands have been prepared as interim remote ones). Stands from A1 to A10 and B1 to B10 are directly linked to the satellite, the others are remote. This means that only A1/A10 and B1/B10 are reparted between Schengen/non-Schengen flights, while the others can be used by any flights. There are also remote, far away stands for turboprop in front of the future cargo city.
