General Information on Greek Mythology
Carlos Parada's Genealogical Guide to Greek Mythology
http://hsa.brown.edu/~maicar/
Talk about "One Stop Shopping"! This site is exraordinarily rich in both information and worthwhile links. It is a bit of a slow loader, but it is worth the wait. The art work could use some revision, but for now, this is one of the better Greek mythology sites I have come across.

Myth Web
http://www.mythweb.com
This site is especially helpful for understanding The Odyssey. It has chapter (book) summaries and it also gives internal links to characters, geography, monsters and other helpful information. Additionally, it has a very good summary of the Labors of Hercules and a good link to mythologies of other cultures.Still want more? Well, it's got an Encyclopedia that will give you all the information you need about the famous, the infamous, and even the rarely mentioned figures of Greek Mythology. It's a keeper!

Hunt's Mythology Notes
http://www.math.utk.edu/~vasili/GR_link/Greek_myth/greek_myth.html#GreekMythIntro

This site is posted by a man named J. M. Hunt who is a computer programmer and amateur mythologist.  It isn't very fancy, but it has terrific information.  It is especially good for links WITHIN the many stories he retells.  For example, if you are reading a particular story and you can't remember who Leda was, click on her highlighted name, and you'll find out.

University of Victoria
http://web.uvic.ca/grs/bowman/myth

Care to visit the University of Victoria in Victoria, British Columbia Canada?  Well, here's your chance!  This site has very good information and links to other sites as well. It's a bit academic looking, but don't be put off by it.  The site is well worth your time.

Messagenet
http://messagenet.com/myths/index.html

This is a good site that has lots of good information in an easy to understand and utilize format. It has pretty good links to other areas of interest.

Bullfinch On-Line

http://www.webcom.com/shownet/medea/bulfinch/welcome.html

What would a Greek Mythology site be without Bullfinch? I agree, so here it is!

Barry Barsant's Links
http://www.capecod.net/~bbarsant/class/classic.html

This site was established by a fellow high school English teacher from Cape Cod.  It has many links to other sites not mentioned here which you will find useful and informative

History Online
http:www.jacksonesd.k12.or.us/k12projects/jimperry/greece.html

This site is actually called "History Online."  It has links to many other subjects besides Ancient Greece.  It's so good and so helpful that you might even want to bookmark it yourself!

Course Notes 101 -  The Epic Cycle

Professor John Porter University of Saskatchwan
http:/www.usask.ca/classics/CourseNotes/HomMyth.html

Located at the University of Saskatchwan, this site provides a good background reading for the Epic cycle. It has more than you need in some areas and less in others, but it is still full of valuable information.

http://www.usask.ca/classics/CourseNotes/HomSummary.html

Located again at USASK, this site provides a quick book by book summary to the events of the Iliad . It doesn't give you any specific details (consult the text for that), but it does provide a good way of finding out what you know and what you are unclear about.

The Odyssey
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/8497/index.html

This site was established by a fellow english teacher who also teaches the Odyssey to 9th grade students in Kent, Washington.  it is slow loading because of some heavy graphics that you may or may not find useful.  But, the information in there is very good and worth the wait.

Star Wars and the Iliad
http://www.digory.com/cgi-bin/Chet.pl?page=sw_troy_1

This is a very interesting site for understanding how the two stories of Star Wars and the Trojan War have much in common.  Please note that this is a commercial site! Don't be surprised to find an order from for stuff you really don't need nor earn you any extra credit points.

Trojan War and The Ilaid
http://home5.swipnet.se/~w-5807/GGGM-F/MapAcheansTrojans.html

Cool looking maps of the Trojan war and voyages home. More than you need to know for any test, but very informative nonetheless.
