NOEL TAMAYO, an Ilokano from Ilocos Sur and Tarlac; maintains a website called The NiFTy Web Page which features, among others, a "You Know You're Ilokano If..." page which quizzes Ilokanos on genuine Ilokano traits, characters, tradition, culture, etc. He also maintains "Noel's Pilipino Folkdance Glossary" which contains history and MIDI/WAVE files of Philippine folkdances (in fact, and as a sample, the "Tinikling" background of the Ilokano Netizens page was "borrowed" from Noel).

FERDINAND B. BARBERO, hails from Dolores, Abra, Ferdz is a Computer Engineering graduate of Mapua Institute of Technology and Working as a GIS Specialist and Systems Engineer at the National Space Development Agency of Japan (NASDA) and employed as a Technical Senior at Basic Engineering Co. Ferdz maintains a website called "Ilokano-Unay" a very interesting site for Ilokanos which aims to "mangpatangken manen iti dayta limmukneng nga Ilokanom, ken mangipakita iti kinapintas ti puontayo a pannarita." He also offers FREE cool animated GIFs (one of which, the "Powered by an Ilocano" one, already downloaded by Sadiri, being so proud of the genius of the cyber-Ilokano)!

JESSIE F. AGOO, from Pudtol, Apayao. Jessie is a 30-year old CPA, a graduate of Saint Louis University-Baguio City. Worked as External Auditor, Internal Auditor, Management Accountant, Comptroller, and now, he is managing CTSI-FSM, a small forwarding business in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia. On top of that, he also do comptrollership function for their fishing Group of Companies based in Pohnpei and Palau with its own market in Japan. His address is: Jessie F. FORTUNATO AGUINALDO, from Aparri, Cagayan and now residing in Melbourne, Australia. A BS Electrical Engineering graduate of Mapua and Ortaņez University. Works as Electronics Technician at VDO Instruments Aust. Pty. Ltd. (Proprietor: Ausphil Electronics). Among his interests are karaoke on PC, electronic construction, and music sequencing. Let's hope someday Fortunato can convert into MIDI files our very own Ilokano songs such as "Pamulinawen," "Bannatiran," "O, Naraniag a Bulan," "Dungdunguenkanto," "No Duaduaem Pay," "Ti Ayat ti Maysa nga Ubing" and many more! EDWIN C. GUILLERMO, from Allacapan, Cagayan and currently residing at 43 Gonzaga St. Ext., Ugac Norte, Tuguegarao, Cagayan. Born April 5, 1974, Edwin, who works as Programmer, System Analyst and Computer Instructor in St. Paul University, is a graduate of BS in Computer Information System and Master of Science in Information Technology in St. Paul University where he was awarded Best Programmer and Systems Analyst. At present, he is taking his Master of Science in Computer Science in Ateneo de Manila University.

MARIE AGNES MACALINO-INOCENCIO, better known to friends as Manette, was born and raised in San Fernando, La Union. She graduated from the College of Allied Medical Professions, University of the Philippines, Manila. She is now presently residing in Taipei, Taiwan with her husband George (Chief Representative of the Land Bank of the Philippines Representative Office in Taiwan) and son, Polo. Manette has her own cyberhome which is all about the Filipinos in Taiwan. She hopes to come up with a site about the Ilokanos in Taiwan, too.

MARK BEARIS, from Ewa Beach, Hawaii and a junior at Campbell High School. Mark's parents were from the Philippines, particularly in Ilokandia and Bikolandia. Mark, also known as the Ultm81 (Ultimate One, that's it!) in the cyberspace, has a cool home page, visit it!

SHIRLEY TALARO FRANCISCO-STEWART, born in Buguey, Cagayan. Shirley graduated in 1979 at Arellano University (Manila) with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Commerce. SALVADOR CORRALES CACHOLA, born and raised in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur; graduated from the U.P. College of Law, Class '63 and owns an accounting firm, Accu-Tax Business Services, in Butte, Montana, USA. He says: "I welcome e-mails with other Ilocanos."

DEM (Redempta) ANGELITO-CABACUNGAN, born in Nueva Ecija but grew up in Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur. Dem says her father was from Bacnotan, La Union and her mother from Lupao, Nueva Ecija. She went to college in Feati University (Manila), married her college sweetheart, Steve Cabacungan from Reina Mercedes, Isabela and immigrated to the U.S. in 1973. Dem says: "We now reside in Aiken, South Carolina. Thank God for the Internet, I am once again reading Ilocano literature--after years and years of exposure to Tagalog, Cebuano and the English language. I'm proud to be a G.I. (genuine ilocano)!"

DAN TOMADA, originally from Maddarulug, Solana, Cagayan but now residing in Guam with his wife (who hails from San Fernando, La Union) and kids.

OSWALDO (Bong) TUMANUT, a mestizo Ilocano (Ilocano-Ibanag) born and raised in Santiago, Isabela, now a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, USA. Bong's mother's roots are in Bangued, Abra (Collado, Pableo) and Vigan, Ilocos Sur (Pestejo, Faralan). A BS Math graduate of University of the Philippines, he maintains the following sites: Filipinos in Kansas City, Philippine Nurses Association of Greater Kansas City, Friends of the University of the Philippines Foundation in America, and the Isabela Home Page (unofficial).

JUDI CASTILLO, born in Toronto, Canada of Ilokano parents from Pangasinan. Judi has a cool web site, Judi's Place, where we can know her better--visit her, err..., it now!

AUSTIN E. DELACRUZ, JR., a US Air Force Staff Sergeant working as Respiratory Therapist/Pulmonary Function Technologist at David Grant USAF Medical Center (Cardiopulmonary Laboratory) in Travis Air Force Base, California. Born and grew up in Allacapan, Cagayan, he is now residing with his wife and two kids, Austin III and Aubrey Lizette, in Fairfield, California, USA. "Sarge" says, on his being in the US of A that "adu ti aldaw ken rabii a sapsapulek dagiti aramid ken banag a nakairuaman a kas Ilokano (kastay panagbasa ti Bannawag ken panangur-uray iti isisingising ti init) ngem ditoy sabali a pagilian a kas iti Amerika, narigat nga aramiden," but with the presence of the Ilokano websites (and Ilokano cybernauts for that matter), "madepdepan `toy iliwko iti ili a nakayanakan."

ROD ROMENA, an Ilokano from Sacramento, California. Maintains a cool site about Pinoys. Rod says: "Adu met gayam ti Ilocano ditoy Internet! Makaisemak pay idi mabasak daguidiay dandaniw ken pakpakatawa iti nabisitak a websites daguiti pada nga Ilokano!"

CARMENCITA URSUA DELACRUZ, an Ilokana from Allacapan, Cagayan. She finished grade school at Shamrock Elementary School in Laoag City (Ilocos Norte), and high school at Allacapan Institute, Allacapan Cagayan. A Far Eastern University BS Biology graduate, she also took Respiratory Therapy Program at Napa Valley College, California. At present, she is a Staff Respiratory Therapist at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center, Vallejo, CA. The loving wife of Austin Delacruz, she has a message to us all: "Kayatko nga ipaduyakyak ti nabara ken napudno a kablaawko kadakayo amin nga padak nga Ilokano iti sayberispeys."

DR. JOIE CALUB, of Divine World College of Laoag City. Ilocos Norte (Yes! The Internet is now also a craze in Laoag City, there are already several ISPs there! --Sadiri). Joie invites "those who graduated from Divine Word College of Laoag to drop a line in our e-mail so we would know how things have been with them."

CLARITA BAPTISTA DICKSON, borne at Malilitao, Claveria, Cagayan and now living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

RICHARD P. ABADILLA, originally from San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte but now residing and working as a Federal government employee here in Honolulu, Hawaii. Richard planned to construct an Ilocos Norte homepage "but somebody already beat me to that one (See the Ilocos Norte Home Page), so he decided to make one for the Organization he is in--the Cagayan Valley Association of Hawaii. Richard maintains another website featuring ballroom dancing in Hawaii where the dance instructors and members/students are Ilokanos, the C&V Ballroom Dance Group Inc.

ROYCE FORTIN-DE LEON, born and raised in San Felipe, Zambales and now residing in Ridgecrest, California, USA. Royce has a message to all: "AGBIAG TI ILOKANO!!!"

ROWENA CAGUNGAO HALL, grew up in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya and graduated from St. Mary's High School and St. Mary's University (both in Bayombong) in 1989. Rowena would like to correspond (electronically, of course) to Ilocanos, especially Vizcayanos.

ALFE RACIMO, born on June 17, 1963 in San Ildefonso, San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines and residing at 45 Pender St., Preston, Victora 3072, Australia. A Bachelor of Science in Education graduate of Divine Word College of Laoag, he worked as a classroom teacher at Roosevelt High School in 1984-1986. He is currently employed at TELSTRA (Australia's Telecomm. Co.). His interests include watching movies, listening to music, travelling, and netsurfing. Alfe says: "Kumustakayo amin, kakabsat... sapay koma ta agnayon daytoy a benneg ditoy internet tapno adda pagliwliwaan dagiti pada nga Ilocano. Agbiag ni Ilocano!"

JOEY CABAYA, "Kayatko iti makibunggoy kadagiti Ilokano ditoy internet!" thus saith Joey, a true blue Ilokano from Abagao, Lal-lo, Cagayan, working as an EDP Manager/Systems Analyst of the GP Group of Companies based at #38 NBP Bldg., Cor. F. Roman, Aurora Blvd., San Juan, Metro Manila. Joey is a BS in Computer Information System graduate of St. Paul University in Tuguegarao, Cagayan.

ROLAND MAGALUED CARUB, from Solano, Nueva Vizcaya and now based in Manila working as a computer professor at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) and as managing director of the Manila Freight Forwarder Philippines. Roland is also a writer and a columnist, he authored "The Universal Theory of Mind-Body Synergism." He has an MA in Psychology (Internship). Roland wants to correspond with fellow Ilokanos regardless of faith, educational attainment, or creed--perhaps over a mug of cyberbeer or cyberbasi and his favorite pulutan "dinakdakan" at his favorite hang-out which is "kumporme basta naragsak la ketdi!"

VINCENT CLAUDE, an Ilokano from Santa Catalina, Ilocos Sur now residing in Chicago, Illinois. A really genuine Ilokano despite living with the Bulls. Proof? Let's hear him sing: "Pamulinawen, pusok indengam man. `Toy umas-asug agrayo `ita sadiam. Panunutem man ti inka pagintutulngan. `Toy agayat, agruknoy ita emmam. Essem ti diak malipatan `ta nasudi unay a nagan. Uray sadin' ti ayan, disso sadino man. No malagip ka, pusok ti mabang-aran!" That's really from him, suggesting that Ilokano folk/new song lyrics be included in this site. Really kewl idea! (And very well, Sadiri is now gathering materials for this. Watch out!)

ANNA ALBERTO, Born December 27, 1979 in Ballesteros, Cagayan, Philippines and raised in Zinarag (a sitio of Ballesteros) and Quezon City until 1990 when they immigrated to Canada (Gloucester/Ottawa). She' s the daughter of Jose/Peping Alberto from Zinarag and Angelina Mendones from Zambales. Anna furthers: "I'm trying to get back to my roots. Unfortunately, after 10 years of being away from my place of birth, I am tongue-tied when speaking Ilocano but, luckily, thanks to my parents, I can still understand. Hoping that by joining an Ilocano community on the Net, I can learn more about the language amongst other things. I will have some Ilocano/Philippine content on my home page (Mary Jane 21's Joint, a cool site, visit it now!). I just have to find the time to do it when I'm not busy with school... =)"

PRESCILA L. ESPIRITU, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, specializing on Hawaiian and Indo-Pacific Languages which include Iluko. She is the coordinator of UH's Ilokano Program. See her UH Ilokano Program Home Page for info about the Ilokano Program at the University of Hawaii. An excerpt from her homepage says: "Ilokano has been, from its inception, the second largest language program in the UH Department of Hawaiian and Indo-Pacific Languages. According to a University of Hawaii study, Ilokano has grown 380% in two years within the last five years to an enrollment of nearly 200 students, and growing. Apart from the students' felt need to maintain their linguistic heritage, the two-year language requirement at the University has helped to boost the enrollment in Ilokano. The UH has consistently been cited as having one of the best and most extensive language programs in the United States, and Ilokano is one of the language programs that has given it prominence in national program assessments. Ilokano has given the University of Hawaii the unique position of being the main resource for Ilokano studies, and the only institution in the world having a program of such nature..." (What reason why can't we be so proud being Ilokanos then? --Sadiri)

MAYLENE CORSINO PATTUGALAN, from Baggao, Cagayan, a former instructor at St. Paul University, Maylene now works as a Department Assistant at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, K.S.A., where his husband also is also working (at the Saudi Telecom).

GARY CORPUZ, from Naguilian, La Union, Philippines, a Computer Engineering graduate of AMA Computer College, Makati City. Gary works at IBM Corporation in New York as a Network Engineer. He is also a Programmer/Analyst. Meanwhile, visit his cool "Tambayan sa Kanto" page...

RICK L. QUINDIPAN, from Caoayan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Rick finished high school at the University of Northern Philippines in Vigan and pursued his college education in one of the leading maritime school in Manila earning a B.S. in Marine Transportation in 1987 and had been a succesful merchant marine and an officer for quite sometime. Rick now resides in Ontario, Canada and pursuing a career in Information Technology as a network administrator. ENER BARCENA, originally from Palang, San Quintin, Abra and now lives in San Diego, California. He went to school from Grade 1 to college in Vigan, Ilocos at The Divine Word College. He joined the US Navy in 1974 and he said he looks forward to retirement.

ROY A. FERNANDEZ, from Currimao, Ilocos Norte and presently residing in Los Angeles, California; maintains a web site called "The Province of Ilocos Norte Home Sweet Home Page, which contains the historical background of Ilocos Norte province.

MIRIAM C. VELASCO, born in Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, now lives in San Jose, California and employed at Sun Microsystems Computer Company, Menlo Park, CA as an engineering software project coordinator.

NICK B. CLETO, a son of an Ilokano from Laoag and Paoay, Nick had his primary and secondary schooling in Don Bosco-Tarlac and finished his Mass Comm course at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. In 1994, he settled with his family in Davao City where he is now operating a brand new 27-room hotel. His wife teaches literature at the University of the Philippines-Mindanao and they have 3 children.

AURELIO MIGUEL, San Jose, Baggao, Cagayan, Philippines. Attended high school at Saint Joseph Academy (now a College). He moved to the USA in 1986. and attended Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Management Information System Degree. He married his high school sweetheart Jacqueline Vallejo, a former Nursing Instructor of St. Paul University. They have a lovely daughter, Angela Mae, who, according to Miguel, "looks just like her father..." He is currently working as an Automation Consultant at The Hartford Insurance, in Hartford, Connecticut and was involved in a couple of projects developing Intranet sites for two of their departments, this is where he got started in developing his own home page.

JOYCE G. MEMAN, a native of Tuguegarao, Cagayan, Philippines is pioneer BS Computer Engineering graduate (Batch 1995) of Cagayan State Universiy. She is currently taking up Masteral in Engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology. She has been serving as EDP Manager of Classic Credit & Loan for over two years now and at the same time a computer instructor of STI College in Recto, Manila. She said she would like to correspond to anybody in the cyberspace.
