Once upon a time Kate the First was just plain Kate, a small insignificant member of the Crowded House mailing list who rarely said a word and basically lurked with very wide eyes and a general ignorance of how things work on mailing lists, etc. Along came Jeff Lawrence, another Crowded House fan, and somehow Jeff and Kate began conversing back and forth away and apart from the other Crowdies. It was soon discovered that Kate and Jeff both were closet fans of LMM!  So Jeff asked Kate what she thought of trying to start up an LMM mailing list.  This is where the lovely Louise enters in.  Louise printed something somewhere* that Jeff noticed and answered, regarding an on-line discussion of LMM. Jeff and Louise really set it all up, with Kate watching from the sidelines, giving encouragement and shouting hurrah!

And so Louise and Jeff (and Jeff's university) started the KS list. And with a post from Louise, a post from Jeff, and a post from Kate, the KS list was begun.  Within a few days there were twenty members and within a few weeks many more. :)  That was November of 1994. Then, sometime in the spring of 1995, ()the LMMers up at the University of PEI made the list their own, and it has been growing and with everyone enjoying themselves and discovering new kindred spirits ever since. :) Hurrah! :)

So there it is... from 3 to 400 and then some... :)
