ACCIDENTAL UNSUBSCRIPTION:

For some reason a glitch in the listserv can occasionally cause members to be accidentally unsubscribed from the list.  If you believe this might have happened to you (for example: you haven't gotten any KS mail in a few days) first check with another list member-- the whole list has been known to either go down or just be extremely quiet.  If the person that you contact is not having problems, you can check your status by getting the list of subscribed members. You do this by sending a message to the listproc with no subject and "recipients kind_spirits" in the body.  When you receive the list, scan it for your name.  It is a long list, but the addresses are organized (all the .edu s are together for example) If your name and address do not appear then you have indeed been bumped. Simply resubscribe by following the subscription procedure described in the commands section.
