01 Nov 1999 : Just came back from my first second semester exam and frankly speaking, it was quite simple. I think I've gotten immune to exam pressure. I didn't feel any. No cold hands nor feet. I was doing the exam like any other exercise. It must be the many tests I had to sit for throughout the year. Anyway, one exam down, three more to go.
Yes, I've been to a play entitled The Hobbit and it was fantastic. I think the reason why I was not very impressed was because of myself. Instead of looking at all the positive points of the play, I went to look for the negative aspects of it. So, I wasn't very impressed. Gandalf didn't have much magick. He was much more of a warrior than a wizard. Sigh. But the special effects are of acceptable quality. The puppeteers wore black (as if the audience can't see them) and animated the puppets quite brilliantly. I shouldn't have focussed on the puppeteers but... never mind. All in all, it was a play never to be seen again in the near future. Certainly, it's something out of the ordinary.
06 Nov 1999 : Hi, this will be the last time I'll be adding a journal entry in Australia this millennium. The next update will be from Malaysia. There's nothing much right now. Life is kinda boring with exams over and tonnes of things to pack up and arrange before I go back. I need to pack the computer up too. The weather has cooled down a little which is good because it was damn hot for the past few days. The flies are still as irritating as ever. My last paper was difficult but the others were fine.
Well, here I am, talking to myself again. I think the reason why I care to update this journal is so that I get to monitor the progress I've made thus far. I wonder if anyone else actually follow the updates here?
For those who've finished your exams, party on but be careful not to hurt yourself.
