03 February 2000 : Today marks the beginning of the third decade of my life. Yes, it's my birthday again and I will be 20. Ugh, I'm no longer considered young. Time to do something drastic to change my path for the better. As usual, my birthday is celebrated only by my family. That's about 5 people in the whole wide world including myself, more if you include those very few hard to come by friends. Hardly anybody ever remembers my birthday. :(  Who asked me to be born on a day when most people are on holiday. If only my birthday is somewhere in the middle of the year, I'll be surrounded by friends, or that's what I think. *Sigh*. Well, here goes another ordinary day in my life. My birthday wish : I'll be more successful than ever  this decade and for decades to come until my end. Happy Birthday to me!

17 February 2000 : In just a few days time, I'll be flying back to Perth. I will be seeing my new room for the first time. Hopefully, I'll feel comfortable staying in a smaller room than before. I am quite reluctant to write this entry today as I'm in a state of mental torpor as well as being plagued by mixed feelings. I don't know whether to feel sad or happy. Happy because I'll be meeting new friends but sad because I'll certainly miss my family. I guess this must be the sacrifice I have to make in order to be a successful human being before I take off to the stars once again. To all my Penang friends, I hope my short time here has brought back fond memories and do forgive me if I've offended any of you in any way. To my friends in Perth, here I come!
