Stage 1 - Pull Beetle from Lot and Clean It

The first step was to get the Beetle from the lot it was sitting in and back to our house. Then we cleaned out the inside and removed the headliner. Click on the pics below for a larger version.

Stage 2 - Remove Rear Fenders and Cut Body

Next we removed the rear fenders and cut the back end off just above the wheel wells. Click on the pics below for a larger version.

Stage 3 - Sand Body and Weld on Back End

Then we sanded down the body to prepare for the next step. We also welded on the new back end so that the car really began to take on its new shape. Click on the pics below for a larger version.
