Background Info
My name is Chris Snyder, and I am native to Northeastern Pennsylvania and have lived there all my life. It is a beautiful stretch of country which is a short drive from the Scranton & Wilkes-Barre area.

As a youngster I worked my way through grade school in the Western Wayne School District, which I graduated from in June of 1997.

Recently graduated with an Associate's Degree in Infomration Sciences and Technology from Penn State University's Worthington-Scranton Campus.

Interest Info
Although my first interest will always be camping and the outdoors, computers also have a special place in my heart. I go on camping trips every now and then when I get a free chance. However, most evenings I can be found online chatting with friends or keeping up with latest technology downloads.

And when I not doing either of those I am either sleeping, eating, or maybe working on my pickup truck, usually adding more lights.

Lions Club Service
Currently, I serve as the Lions Club representative for both our local Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop. The club sponsors the Scouting units so that they may provide a quality, character building program to the young men of our community.

My repsonsibility as Charter Organization Representative is to ensure that both groups are running smoothly and provide assistance where needed. I also keep the club posted on the happenings of both units.

Methodist Church Involvement
At the local Methodist Church, I was a Sunday School teacher working mainly with the Late Elementary and Junior High School age groups.

Also I was a member of the youth group associated with two local churches. The group participated in several activitites some of which included lock-ins, hoagie sales, camp-outs, religious plays, parties, and more.

Scouting Involvement
Currently active in the local scout troop, I hold the position of Assistant Scoutmaster, so I can give back what I have gained from the scouting program. I am an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor member in the Order of the Arrow.

I generally help out where I can on both the district and council levels in addition to being a troop leader. I am also currently assisting in the ongoing development of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council's website.
