Sexual Healing

Sexual abuse, exploitation, harrassment, inuendoes, these are but a few terms that covers the negative aspect of our sexual world. There's a lot of healing to do, from the individual level to the global level.

"To think that anything involving the sex organs is sex is to confuse an instrument with an interaction. ... Yet many people believe that anything that employs the sex organs is sex, and this false belief leads to rape, sexual violence, and other perversions. Too many people make a fetish of the sex organs. Though this is foolish, it's really not surprising when you consider how long candid talk about sex has been taboo in this society. When clothes are no longer designed to tantalize, when nudity is fully permitted, when people are friendlier and more honest, sexual violence will disappear." Sexuality is a force of nature we cannot and should not try to control. If we didn't have so many tabous and prejudices, our society would be a whole lot healthier. The negative connotation attached to sex that we inherited from past puritan value has had a negative impact on our society in general. We try to control sex so it doesn't control us creating very repressed attitude about sex. At the other end of the scale we exploit sex and use it like a bodily function removing all the magic from it.

And then there are the abuse based from distorded value about sex. Situations develop around sexuality that build up like a tornedo... (abuse, assumptions, expectations, roles, etc), then someone get hurt. And when the storm is over, someone else picks up the pieces. But the tornedo itself cannot hold all the blames. Values learn from parents, from peer pressure, from constant media projection, help create the sexual mentality of today.

Positive Sexuality

Consider this: The Creator (He/She/It/?) created the Universe, then the living world, all living creature. Humans are but one specy in this creation. But there is a repeating pattern of polarity throughout Creation: the sexual polarity Female/Male. Sexuality is one of the most important force of Nature. As important as the weather but very very subtle. To bring peace to our society, we need to be in harmony with our own human nature. To be in harmony with Nature and the sexual mysteries of Nature is to be in harmony with Creation and therefore with the Creator.

The best way to bring change for the better is to educate ourself. There are many aspect of sexuality that can be learned. Others need to be experienced. Exploring sexuality should not be done with just any stranger. It should be done "In Perfect Love and Perfect Trust".
