about the author
I grew up and currently live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I have been maintaining this website with varying degrees of commitment for the last seven years. In addition to this, I also contribute material to www.ourrant.ca . I am a building materials salesperson by occupation and I am currently enrolled at the University of Winnipeg, studying English. My interests include reading, music, movies and woodworking.
a note on the layout I've experimented with a few different formats over the years, and ultimately, I'm satisfied with this one. I may tweak the colours a bit, but all in all I like this format. This site is very light in terms of graphics and sound. Unless the content warrants it, I am not a fan of Flash, animation or graphics in websites. Like Maddox on his Best Page in the Universe site, I want to read the content, not be dazzled by flashy design and micro-fonts I can't read. I use two fonts for this website: Tahoma and Times New Roman 12pt. for the body content. While this is the font that appears on most websites, I feel this it is such because it is the easiest to read from a computer screen.
thanks and acknowledgments Thanks to: Robert Dusa, webmaster of ourrant.ca, for giving me this computer I'm writing with now and has been extremely helpful and generous to me over the years. James Gospodyn, for his intelligence and insights have made mine that much sharper. Jamie Krysowaty, the best writer I personally know, for challenging me to look further and deeper, and to write what I truly feel, regardless of consequence. Deryk Dawe for being my friend, my confidant and sowing the seeds of creativity in me. James Daniels for keeping me silly when I get too serious.
Special thanks to: Chloe Stone, my best friend, my lover and soon-to-be wife for making me realize that life is aimless without someone to share it with.
