All Annual Awards are voted on EACH JULY
The rank of the award is listed in
(Individual Rank 1) Martial Artist of the Year
- The highest and most prestigious AIT
Award an individual can obtain
- Any AIT
martial artist is eligible
- Must have current an USCDKA membership
- Must have attended an USCDKA seminar (if possible)
- Voted on all facets of the AIT program
- How they have tested, their attitude, their improvement, attendance, etc.
(Individual Rank 2) Instructor of the Year
- Second highest AIT
individual award
- Must have a current Instructor Degree with USCDKA
- Must have attended annual USCDKA Instructors seminar (if possible)
- Voted on all facets of their individual AIT
school program
- How their students test; attitudes of themselves and students, commitment to students
(Individual Rank 3) Student of the Year
- Third highest AIT
individual award
- Novice students and above are eligible
- Must have a current USCDKA membership
- Must have attended the annual USCDKA seminar (if possible)
- Voted on attitude, testing performance, commitment to martial arts, etc.
(Individual Rank 4) Competitor of the Year
- Fourth highest AIT
individual award
- Novice students and above are eligible
- Must be an AIT student for at least 6 months
- Instructors keep records of # of tournaments & the results
- Voted on attitude, perseverance, heart, etc.
(Individual Rank 5) Most Improved of the Year
- Fifth highest AIT
individual award
- Instructors and Students who have been in AIT
for at least 9 months (3/4 of the year) are eligible
- Must have active USCDKA membership
- Vote on improvement in kicks, punches, blocks, attitude,
attendance
(Group Rank 1) School of the Year
- All active AIT schools of 6 or more registered USCDKA students
are eligible
- Lead Instructor of school must have an official USCDKA Instructor Degree
- Attendance, testing performance, attitudes, accomplishments in and outside the
classroom, and participation in seminars & tournaments will be considered.
