Technology of Veridia Weyr

In the timeline of Veridia Weyr, AVIAS was discovered, but found deteriorated after 2500 turns of disuse. The Pern of our timeline is strictly agrarian, and any technology advancements must be brought to the Weyrleaders of Veridia for discussion and approval. Any major advancements, such as invention of nuclear power, cars, CD players, etc, will not be approved.

How do dolphins fit into our timeline? The discovery, or rather re-discovery, of the ability of dolphins to talk would have been discovered even without AVIAS; the computer was merely a catalyst in the formation of the DolphinCraftHall. At this point in Veridia's timeline, the speech of the dolphins is still being analyzed and interpreted. A CraftHall was established in the beginning of the 10th Interval, year 30. Questions can be answered by the Weyrleadership... if they can answer them! ;)
