Project Mecha
As with any science fiction or fantasy world, the universes of the mecha genre need to use plausible rationale to get its audience to suspend disbelief. Sometimes the presence of mecha tech in a story's universe is explained by unusual circumstances (like alien invasion). More often, mecha are simply an inevitable product of technology. But just how plausible is a future where mecha walk the earth?
