Well, I attended the Nickleback concert on the 4th of February at the Winnipeg Arena. The show was absolutely packed. The gates did not open until half an hour before the start, so a lot of people missed the performance of Three Days Grace. They really didn't miss much. I caught most of the set and thought that they are one of the worst bands that I have ever seen live. I feel bad for them though becasue they didn't have many people to play in front of since everybody was still at the gates. I was suprised by Staind. I have never been a huge fan, but they put on quite a good show. I wouldn't be against seeing them again if they were to be back in the neighbourhood. The best act of the night by far was the headliner. Nickleback played an amazing set and encore that everybody loved. They spread out their hits and through in some from every album. I can't get over the amount of fireworks that they used. A great portion of the profits must have gone towards making things explode and to make firey bangs. Intense.Hope they do well with their bra collecting too. I liketo see bands give back to charities. A lot of people these days take a lot of things for granted. too anybody reading this, I recommend strongly that you go and see Nickleback the next time that they are in town. As for me, they are now one of the few bands that I can say that I have seen more than once. The Tragically Hip. The first few CDs that I ever had were of these guys and they have stuck on me. It's a shame thattheir new stuff isn't as good as the original though :(
