In the year of 1964 a slender man made his way directly to the hearts of the american viewers. The
man was William Shatner as Captain James T. Kirk, commander of the starship Enterprise. The series
was first called The Cage, but the name was soon changed to - Star Trek. With his
unforgettable fellow officers Mr Spock (Leonard Nimoy) and Doctor McCoy (DeForest Kelley), Star
Trek entertained the television viewers from ‘66 to ‘69.
The series focuses on the Starship U.S.S Enterprise and its fiveyear mission to explore new lifeforms
and new civilizations. Ten years later Star Trek made its début on the big screen in "Star Trek - The
Motion Picture".
The original series was created by the nowadays legendary Gene Roddenberry.
Through the years there have been eight movies and a total of four different series; The Original
Series (TOS), The Next Generation (TNG), Deep Space 9 (DS9) and Voyager. Beam aboard below to
