Author of MANUAL DEL ORIHATE, published around 1952, and still being used by practitioners today. [Also Olu Ana, and great contributor to the sacred musical tradition of the Lucumi -- is this a seperate entry??]
  11. Ayayi La Tuan, Timotea Albear [Cuba] Lucumi Orisa-? One of the first great Habana Oriates, and the wife of the great Babalawo Bernabe Menocal. Died
  12. Liberato Valdez: [Cuba] Lucumi Orisa-? Another great Oriate of Habana, and another ahijado of the prolific Oba Di Melli.

  23. Renaud Simmons [USA] Lucumi, Orisa -Ifa/Sango Babalawo Elder of the Ile of Asunta, initiated in Dec. 1967 by the late Asunta Serrano. The first African American oriate in New York city. He was a fine opon and drummer. He also made Palo. Sango Dei was also initiated into Ifa, Egungun and the Ogboni Society in Nigeria.He passed on to an Egun on March 5,2002 he will be missed by all that loved him.
