She was a priestess of Oshun also, whose family originated from Oshogbo, Nigeria. She was a priestess of Oshun for over 72 years  Nana Yao Opare Dinizulu, [USA] Akan Abosum-? first African-American to be initiated into Akan system, Founder of Bosum Dzemwodzi, NYC/D.C. The first African American oriate in New York city. He was a fine opon and drummer. He also made Palo. Sango Dei was also initiated into Ifa, Egungun and the Ogboni Society in Nigeria.He passed on to an Egun on March 5,2002 he will be missed by all that loved him.
