Chapter 5: Is There Love In The Air?
"OHMIGOD ARE YOU SERIOUS???" Sara shrieked, grabbing Nick's arm. "AJ IS COMING OVER??"
"Yes, chill out!" Nick said to Sara trying to take back his arm.
"Sorry, sorry , Sorry! I'm just so excited!" She was beaming ear to ear.
"Look, I will introduce him to you if you promise not to act like your psychotic friend Allison. Remember the one who screamed and then fainted when we met?"
"OK I'll stay calm." Sara said. "When is he coming over,"
"hour and a half."
"K, for how long?"
" I don't know, besides he is coming over here to work"
"That's what you think" Sara said with a sly smile
"He has a girlfriend smart one"
"I know I was kidding, Relax!"
"I know how your twisted little "obsessed fan" mind works.
"Shut up Mr. beanie baby collector"
"Well at least I don't like that bisexual fruitcake Ricky Martin!"
" I don't like Ricky Martin I like Enique Eglisias dumbass!"
"Close enough"
"Well I'll kick your ass crackerjack blondie"
"I'd like to see that happen"
"WOULD YOU TWO KNOCK IT OFF BEFORE I KICK BOTH OF YOUR ASSES?!?!" BJ shouted. "I am trying to do my homework here and I can't with you two fighting!"
"You better watch yo back foo!" Sara said. Then turned away up the stairs to go take a shower before the man of her dreams came.
"This will look great!" Sara said admiring her new Capri flood pants. She had on a white T-shirt with a lavender "55" in the middle. The short sleeves were lavender too. "Hmmm.... Now what shoes should I wear?" She thought to herself. Maybe these Adidas. The stripes on the side of the shoe were lavender. A perfect match for her shirt. "Yes, these will look great," she said aloud. Sara put her shoes on and left.
As she made her way down the long hall she could hear AJ's voice. It was unmistakable. The raspy, deep tone, yet so sexy. "I can't do this! Would if I faint and he thinks I'm a dork?" Sara's thoughts were getting the best of her. "AJ will like me. AJ will like me" She said to herself. She made her way down the stairs and saw his back turned to her. Nick was facing her giving her the evil eye from the incident before. She just gave him a sarcastic look, as if to say "get over it "
Sara walked in the kitchen casually pretending to get a coke from the fridge. AJ turned around when he heard her footsteps.
"Hi I'm AJ nice to meet you! You must be Sara.
"hi" she mumbled softly. AJ reached over to her and gave her a tight hug and a kiss on the cheek. As she was coming back down from cloud 9, she said "Hi, its great to meet you." "Just act normal" she told herself. She felt like he was studying her.
"So do you like living with this kooky family?"
"Yeah there really cool. I feel at home here."
"If Nick gets on your case, let me know and I'll kick his ass.
"Hey!" Nick said giving AJ a punch.
"You have beautiful eyes" AJ said, looking at Sara. deeply, as if trying to read her thoughts.
"Thanks." Sara said, blushing.
"Damn AJ you don't give them two minutes before you put the moves on them! Nick said with sarcastic smile.
"What I can't give a girl a compliment?" AJ said with an innocent smile.
"You should hear her sing, she could be the next Christina." Nick said trying to embarrass her.
"Really...well lets hear you sing sweetheart"
"NICK!" Sara looked at Nick with a dirty look, only to get a "hahaha gotcha back" smile from him. "Sorry AJ, maybe another time." Sara said trying desperately to dig herself out of the situation.
"No come on! Please? I bet your great!"
"OK fine, but don't laugh because I haven't done any warm ups today."
"JUST DO IT!" Nick said impatiently.
"OK, OK relax."
"Look at me, you may think you see who I really am, but you'll never know me, everyday, its as if I play a part, now I see if wear a mask I can fool the world, but I cannot fool my heart. Who is that girl I see, staring straight back at me? When will my reflection show who I am inside?" She sang her heart out. Trying to sound her best infront of the man she loved. "If only he knew how much I feel for him." She thought after she was done. Her deep thoughts were interrupted by clapping from both guys.
"Thankyou" She said blushing terribly.
"Your amazing Sara, you really should think about a career in music because your voice is absolutely beautiful!" AJ said smiling.
"Thanks. I used to take lessons a while back, but I quit after...." Her voice trailed off and both men said nothing.
"Well, you most certainly should take the time to look into a music career Sara, Your voice is astounding."
"Thank you."
"Hey guys I have to go the bathroom I will be right back." Nick left the room which left AJ and Sara alone.
"So, would you be interested in going out to dinner with me sometime? Or go dancing maybe,"
"yes, if am available, it sounds like fun." AJ was smiling.
"Great, I would love to get to know you better, "
"OK Great."
Sara was instore for something she never expected in her wildest dreams...
