It was 6:00 PM and Sara was getting ready for her first date with AJ McLean. She wore orange hip huggers, with a tube top that had a peacock feather print on it. The colors were blue, green, yellow and red. The orange lining was on the top and bottom. Her thick, curly, blonde hair was down. Her and AJ were going to the new dance club downtown called "Ice." It was the hottest one for 18 and older. Sara could pull of 21 if she wanted to, but she never had any trouble getting in. Besides, does it really matter if she is with AJ?

The doorbell rang. It was AJ. Sara was almost done putting her eye shadow on.

"SARA, AJ IS HERE!" Nick called from the bottom of the staircase.

"I will be there in a sec!" she called back. She heard the muffled voices coming from downstairs.

"OK, got everything?" She said to herself. She rummaged through her purse.

" Mints, mirror, brush and a tampon, I should be fine." When AJ saw his date come down the stairs all he could do was stare at her.

"My God, she is so beautiful." He thought to himself.

"Hi sweetie it's great to see you again." AJ gave her a tight hug. " Here, these are for you." He handed her a bouquet of pink roses.

"Awww, Thank You!" Sara said giving him a tight hug in return. She was genuinely touched.

" When will you two be home?" Jane asked giving AJ a "don't try anything" look.

"Is 2:00 OK Jane?" Sara asked piping in.

"Yes, but be home at 2:00. Not at 2:30 or 3:00 do you understand?"

"Yes!" Sara and AJ both said together quickly.

"OK then have fun and be careful!" Jane said as the couple walked out the door.

"I love dancing." AJ said.

"Yeah me too, I used to take tap and jazz lessons."

"I bet your great"

"thanks, I KNOW your great!"

"thanks" AJ said blushing.

"Hey want to get a bite to eat first? I'm starving." AJ said.

"Sure, me too!" Sara replied. They went a restaurant by the beach called Duke's. After dinner it was 9:00 and the dance club was open. Because AJ was a star, they didn't need to wait. They walked right in the club and AJ pulled Sara right onto the floor.

"Gosh, he is such an amazing dancer, and so sexy!" Sara thought to herself.

"Her body is so perfect, she is so perfect." AJ thought to himself.

Pretty soon it was as if the night had whizzed by. It was 1:30 in the morning already.

"I can't believe it's already 1:30 it seems likes its only been a half hour!" Sara said glancing at her watch.

"Yes, I know, but we have to go home because Jane will have our heads on a stick if we don't get home!"

"Yeah your right, lets get going." The couple made there way out of the crowds of dancing people and into the parking lot where AJ unlocked his yellow Mercedes convertible. He ran to the other side to open the door for Sara.

"Thank you" She said gently.

On the ride home, they listened to music.

"Sara, I really had a great time tonight and I really would like to see you again. I had so much fun with you."

"Thanks AJ, me too,"

"Did you enjoy the club?" AJ asked her.

"Yes, I did it was great."

"We will have to go again."

"Its a deal!"

They arrived at 1:50. Just enough time for a goodnight kiss. AJ walked Sara to the front door of her house. He hugged her tight. As he looked into her eyes deeply, he saw something, something he hadn't seen in anyone before. Such innocence and purity. It amazed him angelic she was.

"I am afraid I am going to have to kiss you," he said still gazing into her eyes.

"I think I might like that" Sara replied, gazing even deeper into his eyes.

"AJ gently leaded forward into her and gave her soft kiss on the lips. Tasting her lips, savoring the kiss. He wanted it to last forever. Sara felt the same way. She opened her eyes to him and backed away slowly.

"AJ, I had a great time tonight, thank you for a wonderful evening." "

Yes, sweetie, sweet dreams." He turned away and heard her close the door slowly.

It was a warm, sunny afternoon in June when Sara heard the good news. As she was getting her back massaged she heard her cell phone ring. She grabbed for it.

"Hello?" "Sara, get your ass down here right now we are at the Jive records!"

"Hi Nick...now slow down what was that again?"

"come down here right now, this manager guy wants to see you. I told him about you and he was interested, now hurry!"

"OK be there in a sec bye!" She turned to her masseuse.

"I gotta go, we'll finish tomorrow."

"OK" Fabio said. he didn't speak much English, but was a great masseuse.

She ran up stairs and threw some clothes on. She arrived in her new yellow, 2000 VW beetle. "Ohmigosh, I am so nervous!" she thought to herself. "Would if he doesn't like me? Maybe this will be my big break!" She knocked on the office door. Nick answered. They gave each other a quick hug. Behind Nick she saw the rest of the boys talking to a short, fat man who was almost bald.

He turned to her and greeted her with a smile. " You must be Sara, Nick has told me much about you. Our company is looking for a fresh, young face with a positive attitude and from what Nick says, you would be perfect. Have a seat my dear." He pulled out a chair for her and went and sat down behind the desk. "Tell me something about yourself, " he said studying her.

"Well, I absolutely love singing. I love dancing, I love performing. It has always been a dream of mine to become famous. To perform and give. I am very outgoing. Basically, I am a normal teenage girl with happy disposition.

"You sound like it" he said. "Can you sing for me right now? A cappella?

"Umm....sure." Sara said uncertain. The boys were in the other room so she didn't feel quite so pressured. "oh shit this better not be one of my bad days!" she thought. Yet she still put a smile on her face and gave it her best.

"They can say anything they want to say, try to bring me down but I will not allow anyone to succeed hanging clouds over me. And they can do anything they want to you if you let them in but they won't never win if you push them aside and just cling to your pride. See, I have learned there's an inner peace I hold something in my soul that they cannot possess so I won't be afraid and the darkness with fade cause there's a light in me that shines brightly. They can try but they can't take that away from me."

"Sara, that was absolutely beautiful, " Do it again for me and I am going to record it this time. I am going to let some other people hear it. I really think that this will work for you. You are beautiful and I can see a bright future for you. Sara couldn't help but smile a huge smile.

"Really?" she said, trying not to sound to excited.

"yes, really," he said.

"Thank You Mr. Robinson."

He smiled and said. "Now do what you just did for me. Give it your all, don't hold it in." She did what he said and sang her heart out.

"That was great Sara." We will be in touch."

"Thank You." Sara was beaming.

"Well??" AJ said running up and hugging Sara tight. "How was it what did he say?"

"HE LIKED ME!!" she exclaimed hugging him in return. The others were excited too.

"I don't think we have met." Howie said hugging her. She was introduced to Brian and Kevin. They visited for a while then her and Nick left together.

The next two days were so suspenseful. The family was eating dinner when the phone rang. Sara jumped up and got it.

"Hello?" she said just finishing her pasta. "Is this miss Sara Moore?" asked an unfamiliar voice.

"Yes, it is how can I help you?"

"Sara, we are pleased to inform you that Jive Records wants to use you. We would like you to be a part of our company. When can you come in to discuss your contract and other matters?

"How about Wednesday at one?" She said barely able to contain her excitement. "

"Yes that is fine the lady replied. "Go to Suite 303 Mr. Robinson will be there and three other executives.

"OK Thank You good-bye." Sara said. The family looked are questioningly. "that was Jive!!!!! THEY WANT ME!!!!" Nick jumped up and hugged her. She was about to cry. This was her dream come true. She was gonna be a star! In the limelight! "Look out Britney Spears, YOUR GOIN' DOWN!" Sara thought smugly.
