~* Next week *~

Kevin had tried to put that incident behind him but it seemed that every time Amy tried to get intimate with him, he would push her away. He felt guilt. Not just I stole some candy from the store guilt but major maybe relationship harming guilt. He wanted to tell Amy again and again but he could never find the right time or place to tell her. As the guys arrived for the bar-b-Que. that day, he had this bad feeling A.J. was bringing Carmen. He walked onto the patio in the back and found them all chilling. (The boys and Amy of course.) He searched for Amy and found her sitting on a lawn chair talking to Carmen. A shiver ran down his spine when he saw this. Amy noticing he had finally came outside called him over. Play it cool Kevin thought as he approached Amy & Carmen.

"Hey baby, you finally decided to come and join the party." Amy said smiling. He leaned down and kissed her. Amy caught the look he flashed Carmen when he pulled away. What was that scowl for Amy thought. Carmen smiled at Kev ignoring the ugly face he was giving her.

"Nice to see you again. How you been feeling?" Kevin didn't answer her.

"It's about time to eat." Amy said getting up. "I'll go get the plates and things ready."

"No sweetie I'll get them." Kev said stooping Amy and heading for the kitchen. He exhaled a sigh of relief, he had gotten through it and hadn't reacted badly or noticeable. Just then he heard the voice he had been dreading to hear.

"Hey lover." Kevin turned around quickly.

"What do you want?" Kevin retorted out while frowning at Carmen.

"Is that how you talk to a woman who you shared an intimate moment with." Carmen said walking closer to Kevin. She rubbed up against him.

"I know its me you see when Amy touches you. You can't hide it." She said running her palm across his cheek. Kevin cringed at her touch and what she had just said. She was right. He couldn't be with Amy without seeing Carmen's blue eyes staring back at him.

"Why don't you just stay away from me! What would A.J. think of what you're doing?" Kevin said backing away from her.

"What would Amy think if she knew what you did with me and how much you enjoyed it? It would just kill her, wouldn't it? She told you once that she couldn't handle being hurt again by a guy who has done…oh wait exactly what you've done with me." Carmen replied smirking. Kevin just wanted to grab her and choke her at that moment but he controlled himself.

"Stay away from me, Amy and A.J. You're no good for him or for any of us. Excuse me I have a bar-b-Que. to attend with the woman I love." He walked passed her with the items he had come for. He heard he laugh evilly as she slapped him on the butt before he walked out of the room. They all sat down at the table to eat. Kevin just stared down at his plate the whole time.

"Hey Howard pass me the salt." Nick said giggling at how he knew Howie hated being called Howard.

"Here you go baby, my sweet little Nicky poo." Howie said repaying Nick with the words his mom had said to him when the group had just started.

"You're never going to live that one down." Brian said cracking up.

"Your much to talk Mr. Howdy partner, just barely got rid of my accent." A.J. said in his best cowboy southern accent. Brian cringed his nose at A.J.

"At least I'm more than just bones and tattoos. Top that!" Brian said sticking his tongue out.

"Hey don't forget my fashion sense." A.J. said pointing out.

"Oh yeah…can't forget the freaky clothes and lets just call it original hair colors." Nick piped in.

"You didn't say it was original last time. You said it was obnoxiously weird hair colors." Howie added.

"Shut- up Howard." Nick said throwing a piece of lettuce at Howie.

"That's ok everyone has their opinions." Amy said trying not o crack up at the boys little pick on each other game scenario that they played sometimes.

"Hey why hasn't our daddy stopped us by now?" A.J. asked. They all turned to Kevin suddenly realizing that he was being offly quiet for some reason.

"What's up cuz?" Brian asked concerned.

"Nothin's up. I was just thinking." He said finally looking up. Carmen was looking at him. Instantly his eyes directed themselves to Amy.

"I wanted Amy to know I love her. And the reason I wanted you guys here was because I wanted you to witness this." Kevin got up and pulled a box out of his pocket. "Whoa!" A.J. commented. Carmen controlled herself. She nearly jumped up and screamed 'no it's not right! I deserve him' but she decided that her speech could wait. Jealously surged through her body as Kevin knelt down on one knee. A.J. grabbed Carmen's hand gently and squeezed it. She jerked it from him. A.J. turned and looked at her surprised that she wouldn't hold his hand. She was staring with an angry scowl at Kevin & Amy. He turned his attention back to what Kev was saying.

"We have been through so much and I want you to remember that love last through all things. I hope we can spend the rest of our lives together…as man & wife." Kevin finished saying while opening the small velvet box revealing a diamond ring. Everyone around the table gasped.

"Kevin…" Amy whispered touching the ring in shock.

"Well will you be my wife?" Kevin asked taking the ring out of the box.

"Yes!" Amy nearly screamed out. He slipped the ring onto her finger then swept her into his arms, kissing Amy passionately. All the guys clapped and cheered except for Carmen. She sat there pissed off at Kevin's announcement. She already planned her revenge. Now she was going to have to fulfill it.
